Smart, caught the Italians by surprise but slowly they got back into the game. Second half may be way different but we are on the front foot. The longer the game goes on the more risks they have to take and that is when Harry is at his most dangerous.
Well it took them sn hour to figure us out well done Southgate but they are bossing the game now and our press has stopped. It's going to be a tough 30 minutes.
We’ve been awful this half. No wonder Italy equalised. Both substitutes haven’t helped us. Can’t string three passes together at the moment.
Extra time. Saka hasn’t been great since he came in. Do t think Kane has touched the ball this half. Bring on Greelish.
Oh, dear.
The hoary old cliché "it was a game of two halves".....comes to mind.
And, now, the inevitability of Extra Time awaits us.
Solid first half caught the Italians napping second half tough. Southgate did well up to that point but not introducing Grealish could be a mistake? Game maker should be on now.
Lets face it Italy are technically better than England and have a recent history of not losing. It was always an uphill battle. We did good, not going to win but we did the best we could.
Big improvement in the first half of extra time from us. But Italy also could have one it. Dreading penalties.
I am done almost 61 years old and been here so many times before. Sleep time whatever will be will be I will see it tomorrow morning!
