And the game between Manchester United and Chelsea finished at nil all.

I am going to choose to see this as the glass half full. United's defense played very well (although Shaw was shaky at times going up against Reece James), and a potent Chelsea side never really looked like scoring. On the downside, Ole got the starting XI very wrong. Daniel James should switch to track, because he clearly has no instinct for football. Fred is simply an expert at giving the ball away.

If Kepa was playing, I'm sure one of Rashford's shots would have made it through, so Mendy proved his worth tonight.

That man Vardy does love scoring against you doesn’t he? But to be fair Leicester are a good side.

Yes, he does.

And, yes, they are.

But, but, but, I have a horrid suspicion that we have a extraordinarily talented striker who may feel just slightly less energised and/or enthusiastic or hungry ever since he signed a fresh (and exceedingly lucrative) contract.

I think he’s been playing out wide though hasn’t he? Maybe that’s the issue. Or not getting the service.

Houston 1-1 Columbus.

A relatively dreary match away in Houston (our equalizer was actually an OG) but a road point is always a good regular season result in MLS. Columbus will make the playoffs this season but our form has dipped and there are a few injuries.

Frank Lampard has learned the obvious lesson that Man Utd are considerably more dangerous when you invite them to counterattack; considerably less so when you take care not to leave space in the back for Rashford & Co to run in to.

Mendy does seem an upgrade over Kepa, at least Kepa in his current state of form. But Chelsea are still less than the sum of their parts.

You got Vardy'd. Everyone knows what he'll try to do in a game - it's stopping him from doing it that's the problem.

So how are things looking? No real front runner for the tittle. Liverpool? Man City? Could be Aston Villa!

Then put Spurs in the mix. Really strong squad, not firing on all cylinders yet but showing promise. Vinicius, Kane and Son wow can't fault that.

Need a good showing from Kane and Son tonight for my fantasy team. Kane hatrick with three assists from Son would be perfect!

There are too many imponderables in this COVID-affected season to make any strong . I think it's fair to say (though hardly news) that one of the richest 6 teams will probably win the title. Liverpool and Man City are the most likely to finish top 2 - for now. This could be a season that remains pretty open till near the end.

Can't believe there was so little mention of my beloved Saints nullifying the only remaining unbeaten record of the year and (briefly) tearing up the table to 5th!

No offense but I wasn't happy about this particular win...
No offence taken...I take it quite personally when Saints get beaten (and yes, I am sick of hearing about THAT loss one year ago), but there was little harm done other than to remove a record...the rest of the results worked in most teams’ favour in the top 6 at the moment...
