The UEFA disease is bad. The Super League "cure" is even worse, and is rightfully not going to happen. The four remaining English clubs have officially pulled out. United at least has officially announced it.

Maybe this debacle will force all parties to come up with a more equitable solution, but I can't underestimate the rapacious greed still present in every corner.

I think PSG sat out the Super League because they had some corporate conflict of interest, not exactly out of the pureness of their footballing intentions.

If you want to earn a place in Champions league to play against the likes of Barcelona, you have to win your national championship or your domestic cup. This is what I want. I do not want teams qualifying for UCL by finishing 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th in a domestic league. This is why the quality of the tournament is now very poor. I have no profit in a game against FC Krasnodar because no one wants to watch that game. But I have a huge profit in games gainst Madrid, Liverpool or Juventus. The group stage as it is, is not worth sending the team to play.

Let these stupid teams play against themselves in a group stage and join the top teams in a round of 16. No top teams in group stage. That would be somewhat better in the mess that is the UCL and corrupt UEFA inflating the championship with more and more low quality teams.

I’m sorry to repeat myself but if that’s what you want, why were you supporting a proposed league that put teams who didn’t finish that high playing in it? With each post you are contradicting yourself and confusing me as to what you want.

There is no contradiction in what I am saying.

That proposed league put top teams to play against themselves, which is what I want. They are top teams. They are not small teams with no titles in their honours or a crap squad parking the bus in their area, scared to lose any game. I do not want underdogs to play against my team because these games bring no profit, no money for my team.

I do NOT want to play against small teams with low quality players which cannot boost the audience or propose a good game to watch, nor bring in profit for my team.

Was I clear now? The super league was made of top teams playing against each other, with games that were good enough to bring in audience, top quality squads and profit/money. All I want is money so I can see my board try and improve my team with even more quality players.

A game against FC Krasnodar has nothing to offer for my team. But a game against Real Madrid or Man Utd does.

Barcelona should never play against the likes of FC Krasnodar, Apoel, or whatever is the name of this tiny team with no football quality or a title.

What you want is LA Lakers playing against any college team in a "Champions League", which is what I do not want. What I want is LA Lakers playing against teams of the same caliber and league.

Seems that I will continue avoiding the group stage matches and only turning on the TV when my team reaches the quarter finals. Because these small, tiny, low quality teams do not have football to play against Barcelona. Watching a Barcelona slap FC Krasnodar with six or seven goals and 90% ball possession because they spent the whole game defending themselves does not have any appeal to me or is qualified as good football to me.

I am a fan of football. I am a fan of WELL PLAYED football, high quality attacking minded games from both teams, not a fan of low quality games where small teams park the bus infront of their goal for 90 minutes, give up on ball possession and defend just to try not to lose. This is not football. This is clearly a certificate of "We do not know how to play football".

Seems that people love to see the underdogs suffer under attack for 90 minutes. 👎🏼 Their place is the Europa League, where low quality teams play, not the Champions League where only top teams should be playing.

Without an official announcement, nothing to comment. If its true, sad day then. The Super League was/is the CORRECT answer to corruption in FIFA and UEFA. I'll support whatever team stays with the Super League if it still goes forward, has to go forward, needs to go forward, otherwise UEFA corruption will win.

The Mercedes and the GP2 will always qualify ahead of them, because they are clearly better and top level. But no, UEFA corruption wants more money for themselves... and thanks to the lack of view from these “fans”, we missed an opportunity to see more top teams playing between themselves. And earn more money for their teams so they could improve their squads. Especially with a pandemic situation going on.

Cya, I will be back for the next season UCL quarterfinals... If there is still a UCL and the clubs don’t go bankrupt, because the current corrupt UCL is ridiculous with only one team qualified as true top team and champion between them - the Real Madrid.

They’re more than welcome to be part of it but when it comes to decisions like this it’s got to be down to the locals. It’s our game, our clubs, our history and our culture.
