Blows me away that Barcelona have been able to spend such vast (albeit largely imaginary, I'd believe) sums on new recruitment, when they still owe massive amounts to players past and present, along with countless other debts.
I was a huge Barcelona fan in my day, but the club is an utter joke nowadays. Embarrassing.

How can any other club in the world accept a bid from Barca when they clearly don't have any money and are likely to owe you instalment money for a very, very long time?

Shameful. Personally, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing the club wound up.

OK - prediction time:
Villa 1 - Everton 1
Arsenal 2 - Leicester 1
Brighton 1 - Toon 1
Citeh 3 - Bournemouth 1
Saints 7 - Leeds 9 (Saints will be 7-2 up at 80min and all three centrebacks will suddenly lose the ability to centreback). Bamford will score a double hattrick.
Wolves 2 - Fulham 2
Bees 3 - Man U 1
Forest 1 - Hammers 3
'Pool 2 - Palace 1

And thus ends my credibility.

By basically hawking themselves and selling their future to the highest bidder in order to fix today's problem.

They have now adopted Real Madrid's success at all cost

They just sold 24% stake of their studios for €100m.

What i found even more disgusting are the fans abusing Frankie De Jong for refusing to take pay cut as he was driving into the training ground.

Joke club

Meanwhile Rashford to PSG...he REALLY should take the offer. Especially in a World Cup season.

Rashford ain't leaving; his brother spoke to PSG as a negotiating ploy, since his contract is due for renewal/extension soon.

Personally, I hope United actually learn a lesson and don't renew his contract too early. If he bounces back this season, sure — go ahead. He really needs to show he's back before committing to him long term. Otherwise, trigger the automatic 1 year extension and sell him next summer.

There is a distinct possibility that this could become a very boring season in terms of title races. Bayern and PSG will walk their respective leagues. They don’t need to bother playing the matches. I am pretty skeptical that Atleti or Barca will be able to keep pace with Real Madrid. Liverpool are already behind a Haaland-reinforced Man City and have a little bit of an injury crisis brewing in the short term. This is exactly how ‘Pool lost the title last season in spite of a very strong finish.

Maybe we’ll see a title race in Serie A? It’s far too early to draw conclusions but I hope the early signs are deceiving and we see some competition break out.

If not, the only potential highlight to look forward to will be PSG and Man City failing in Europe again.

There's always the race for 4th and the relegation battle. But agree City look strong. The fact that Haaland will get a six week break halfway through the season can only help them.

Why start a 5ft9 LB as a CB pair against an opposition known for height and intensity. Also why can't any manager seem to drop Maguire...at this point its a form of torture.

De Get can't play out from the back either so ETH needs to either bench him or give up on the idea.

On the bright side, the worser it gets, the more likely it will force a change of ownership. Rumours of a hostile takeover incoming.

But it seems United are really sliding and may be out in the wilderness for years to come.

Take nothing away from Brentford though, who despite suffering a setback with Eriksen have maintained a steady, hungry ship.

Competitively, yes. But as long as revenue remains strong and global commercial interest is healthy everything is fine as far as the Glazers are concerned. They will only rouse themselves when the noodle sponsors stop calling. Which of course would be far too late from a fan perspective.

But of course getting rid of the Glazers might result in the same infernal compromise that Man City and Newcastle have made…there is every chance they’d become yet another ‘state club’ shilling for a Middle Eastern nation or royal person.

Lisandro Martinez looks like an absolute disaster signing. His lack of height and strength has been ruthlessly exposed in his first two English matches. If this signing was ETH's idea, it smacks of naïveté.

He's going to have to move forward and be a DM if he has any chance of sticking in the PL.

He’s also playing in a dysfunctional squad so it’s hard to assess what his ceiling really is. At the moment it’s every man for himself and even Ronaldo, the ultimate individualist, isn’t delivering.

I don’t envy ETH. If Moyes was given a poison chalice by taking the job after Ferguson, surely ETH has an even grimmer prospect? Even if you could clone a hybrid of Big Sam and Pep, I doubt they would have the wherewithal to turn this around in the short term.

De ga was at fault for the first two goals big time. The first, well it happens to everyone now and then.
But the second. Passing the ball to a player under pressure when he had all the time in the world. Shocking decision making.
But I think we should also acknowledge Brentford played really well. Took their chances and defended well when Utd eventually showed up in the second half

A number of decisions gone against us at Forest. Not least a disallowed goal. 1-0 down at halftime. Hopefully we can turn this around. But the 12th man is certainly doing their part at the City ground in the first PL game there in more than a generation.

A rather depressing loss to Nottingham Forrest. Missed a Pen, goal disallowed and basically didn't make the best use of our chances.
Really hope we don't put out a strong team in the Europa League conference on Thursday. I think we would have a better season if we don't progress to the group stages.
Brighton at home is now a must win, but after today, I'm feeling concerned.

The question is, what Middle Eastern entity could buy Manchester United if the Glazers bail? I think there is only one candidate: DP World, one of the biggest seaport authority companies in the world.
