I agree it’s too early to call, but think Liverpool are firm favourites. Their new manager has had an impressive start.
I think that their new manager - Arne Slot - has made an excellent start and that they are most certainly in a very strong position to win the title - at the moment, it is theirs to lose.

However, I am also mindful of Arsenal's position two seasons ago, when they led the table by around eight points approaching Christmas, yet still ended the season in second place.

In other words, while Liverpool are indeed firm favourites at the moment, the season still has a long way to run.

Pretty meh performance by United at Ipswich Town. This is about to be expected with the players learning Amorim's system — it's really going to take time for the new concepts to sink in. I'm glad the new manager gets a chance to see what the current squad is capable of (or, largely, not) and what playing in the PL in general is like before taking on any transfers — not that I expect much of anything to happen in January due to lack of funds.

Patience is advised. This is gonna take a while.

Meh is an understatement. United were poor. We were brilliant, I feared the worst when Rashford scored early but apart from that they had a lot of the ball at times but didn't create anything. Rashford just bumbled around like he didn't want to be there, Casemiro and Eriksen got outplayed by Sam Morsy who is older than both of them!

As for us, Brilliant all around. A huge occasion where the narrative wasn't about us at all but we spoiled the media circus's party. We could have crumbled conceding so early on, but we got our composure back and put in a really good first half performance. Sensational save from Onana to deny Delap and then we got the goal we deserved from Hutchinson who was so good all game.

Second half United had a lot of the ball but once again created very little. Bruno drifted in and out of the game but was still a threat when he was on it. Garnarcho spent more time rolling around on the floor then actually playing. We started to tire towards the end and lost a lot up top when Delap went off but were rarely threatened towards the end.

Overall, a great point for us again in a game we competed well in. If there was a team who could have won it, it was definitely us. Expected more from United but I guess with only a few days for Amorim to have trained with the players due to international duty it's going to take time for him to get going at United. He also needs a couple of transfer windows to get a few of his own players in as hes been left with a lot of deadwood in the squad.

I still have to pinch myself that we're competing against the biggest teams in the world, where less than 2 years ago we were in League One. If we can get a couple of more wins on the board before the new year it sets us up well to try and stay up.

I do not agree with this

It should have gone to either Aitana Bonmati or Caroline Graham Hansen, both of Barcelona.

If the award is based on trophies then Bonmati get's it due to having won the Nation's league with Spain BUT if the award is based on individual performance then Hansen get's it because even though she has won the same number of club trophies between September 2023 and August 2024 (time frame the award looks into to) she has scored more goals and got more assists.

Barbra Banda has done extremely well for her club Orlando Pride but certainly no where near what the two Barcelona ladies achieved during the same time period.

Its probably more an inclusive choice for having a number of firsts for her country and her charity work.

The BBC award is more opinion based anyway.

Granted they have injuries. But signing Mbappe has been destructive for Madrid. Won La Liga and UCL last season and looked balance

Couldn't resist a Galactico signing. Now they look disjointed and Mbappe looks lost...looks like the criticism is getting to him

And Arne Slot gets 15/15 wins in the UCL.

After our excellent win at Newcastle I’d really like to be having a game where we could win again to start a good run.
Unfortunately we are playing Arsenal in the late kick off.
At this stage if see a draw as a fantastic result.

Nobody care about this outside of England in Women’s Football, I can assure you 😆

What matter is who gets the FIFA award - https://www.fifa.com/en/the-best-fi...est-fifa-womens-player-2024-nominees-in-focus

I both hope and think that Graham Hansen will get it this year - a lot points on that. No further comments about it though 😉

What is of a lot of interest on the Women’s Football sky in general - Michelle Kang’s investments in buying up clubs and donating to Woman’s Football - just wow!

Then on our national horizon - our women made a comfortable win agains Serbia on their ground with a win with 2 - 0, and have a a return game in Stockholm on coming Tuesday.

We will get to Women’s EURO - https://www.uefa.com/womenseuro/ - we will. Many injured players are coming back and into play, so it looks hopeful.

Guess we're at that period where people are now calling for Lopetegui's head.

Hard to argue against on current form. If you are going to replace him no point in waiting until after the transfer window opens.
Who would be the ideal replacement i wonder.

Meanwhile, quintessential for Spurs to beat City 4-1 away and then draw with Fulham at home

Predictable result. 'Pool firmly in the driving seat and should see it through.

Looks like a write off season for Pep. Too many injuries and ageing subpar players. And they've lost their fear factor.

Side note: whilst he's more decorated, Foden is nowhere near Saka's level in my opinion.

As for us, I'm glad we're back to playing our brand of football and managing injuries somewhat better.

Also nice to not be in the headlines anymore. It suits us better. Heck i want the media to start talking up Chelsea too

I'd rather just keep our heads down, put in performances, and keep taking points. Then see where we end up.
