I think thats us done now unfortunately. So close again but silly mistakes are costing us. Our squad is being really stretched now due to injuries, when we bring on players they are a downgrade from the starting 11 when our opponents are bringing on Premier League experience.

Just got to enjoy the second half of the season and give it all we've got, And then push for promotion again next season!

The big one tonight. One of the managers is going to get the sack if they lose (apparently). Not sure if a draw saved them both!

West Ham will all warm up in Antonio number 9 shirts. I hope they have got their own sizes though as he’s a big lad!

With a broken leg at 34 I fear we won’t see the real Antonio in a West Ham number 9 shirt again 😢

Looking forward to see Hammarby against Barcelona the 12th (on streaming).
I think Hammarby at least will have a bit better situation when playing at home in Stockholm, with the support of the audience, then last meeting in Spain.

First thought, it will be cold for the spaniards playing here, great!, excepts for Rolfö who is used to it 🥶
So I thought, happily a moment, before I realized that they are playing on our National Arena in Stockholm, where they can close the roof, so it will not be cold at all - but hopefully a good audience.

Ah well, hope they do better then the 9 - 0, that Barça won with in Spain.
We'll see if Hammarby can get away with doing 1 or 2 goals, and Barça not scoring more then 4/5.
Regardless, great of them to qualify to Champions Leaugue.

Well, he certainly won't be back for the remainder of the season (and he is a big loss to West Ham), while some reports seem to suggest that he won't be back for at least a year.

At his age I’m not sure he’ll make it back.

Anyway a very satisfying win last night. Might not have been the most emphatic victory ever, but they all count. Quite frankly we need to be beating teams at the bottom at home if we are going to survive. I don’t think we are in a relegation battle right now. But a few results going against us and we soon could be.
Truth is there are 9 points between us and the bottom three. Also 9 points between us and the top 4 at this stage!
Funny old season really.

Indeed.

However, let us hope that he makes a full and complete recovery, and is able to return to playing professional football.

I was struck by reports that this was "a single vehicle crash".

Our draw at the week-end - to Fulham, who are a difficult team to defeat (and are also a team that is currently home to several, a surprising number, in fact, of (former) Arsenal alumni, (some of them exceedingly good footballers) is one of those rather frustrating results.

Seems the Lusso was probably going too fast on a wet surface during storm Darragh.

Glad no one died...and maybe a testament to Ferrari's crash protection 👀

Saudi Arabia is confirmed as host for the 2034 World Cup, while Spain, Portugal and Morcoco will serve as joint hosts for the 2030 tournament.

Thats 1 win in 10 for City. Gundogan and Lewis/Silva at the base of midfield simply isn't working. They're also now incredibly one-dimentional.

Mark Halaand out the game and you're 70% there.

Cool...we just about won. But make no mistake Monaco were awful. Any team worth their salt would've gotten a point or beaten us.

We are incredibly predictable. All you need to do is nullify the right side and you're there. Fulham were awful last week but were smart enough to do just that.

I'm starting to checkout of the belief train. And i''m already bored of the season.

For me i'm ready let 7 players go

Jesus - Done...forget shadow, he's a ghost of his former self. 1 goal in 30 appearances
Martinelli - 18 mths in and safe to say he's reached his ceiling with us
Zinchenko - Can't even play 2 successive games. Cost us in back to back seasons
Kiwior - Arsenal currently a level above him
Tomiyasu - Never successfully played majority of any season. Only 6 mins on the pitch so far this season
Tierney - Why is he still here if Mikel categorically refuses to play him even when we're desperately short.
Sterling - Nuff said

Until the above issues resolved with the squad, we're not winning the league. Because we'll never be able to successfully go on an extended run with the above players. Also Trossard needs to hug the bench, started believing his own hype, and plays selfishly.

Arteta also needs to fix up and stop tinkering every few matches. All he's doing is unbalancing the side and compromising our strengths. Whilst he's done an incredible job, his record is also starting to look stale. 1 trophy in 5 yrs after £600m+ spent
It would be very damning if Arne or Maresca finish above him and/or he fails to win anything...again.

Saudi Arabia were the only bidders for the 2034 because of FIFA rules not allowing countries from the same region to bid for the next world cup. The New York Times did a very good investigate piece of journalism on the bidding/hosting rights for the 2034 World Cup and found out some interesting facts. Two of the most important points of interest the NYT found are to do with FIFA's president Giannia Infantino in that he is alleged to have bent the rules to allow Saudi Arabia to be the host of the 2034 World Cup. One of the rules that was bent to accommodate a team from Asia/Oceania was that FIFA decided to allow the 2030 World Cup to be hosted across 3 continents, Africa, South America and Europe and in doing this it meant that due to FIFA eligibility rules, it meant the next world cup in 2034 could only be hosted by a country in Asia or Oceania. The second rule that was bent was the submission date for bids, it had been reduced to 25 days. Whilst there was interest from many Asian and Oceania countries to host the 2034 world cup, they could not meet FIFA's new deadline date which is when Saudi Arabia was see to come in with it's bid. With Saudi Arabia the only country to meet FIFA's new deadline date, they were the only country registered to host the world cup. This is why the NYT times said there is something not right with the way the bidding for the 2034 world cup was done because FIFA's president Infantino orchestrated it so Saudi Arabia would be the only country to host the 2034 World Cup.

As for Man City, remember the same thing happened to Man United. They won 3 leagues in a row and then spectacularly crashed the following 3 years before they won the league again. It was bound to happen to City, it was not a question of if but more of when.

What is interesting is the events surrounding this crash. Some key boardroom staff leaving, Pep initially announcing this was going to be his last season in charge (he now be given a 2 year extension of his contract) and the starting of the case of the 115 premier league charges.

We should have the (insert favourite spherical analogy) to withdraw from this BS organization that nobody wanted in the first place.

Well, at least we will have almost no games in three already built top rated stadiums so for once this won't be that expensive.

One of them will be our home ground (had to get this through) :D

Hammarby - Barça, 0 - 3, in Stockholm, Sweden - was a much better match for Hammarby then in Spain.
A big supporting audience might been very helpful - as I assumed. Not a boring match.

When it comes to football Spain are proving a country not to be reckoned with.

Current FIFA Women's World Cup
Current Men Euro Championship
Current Women Champions League - Barcelona
Current Men Champions League - Real Madrid
Current Women FIFA World Club World Cup - Barcelona

Anyone that is a fan of football would have to admit that the stats are very impressive. Can anyone stop Spain's dominance?

FIFA rankings means nothing in my opinion. Remember, the men's Belgium team had been ranked no.1 for a number of years even though they never won a tournament.
You are allowed your opinions.
But sometimes the rankings are not very up to date and not very accurate because of that.
From what I see here, this ranking is pretty accurate for the moment.

The usual problem with rankings (and I assume Women Football has the same issue) is that you can gain a lot of points beating smaller teams in qualifying stages.

But when the real competitions start tings aren't exactly so smooth.
