Amorim's tactical lessons seem to be sinking in quickly at United, although they haven't faced terribly stiff competition so far. That will change on Wednesday night when United visit the Emirates. Arsenal is on fearsome form — yeah, having Ødegaard back really helps — so I'm prepared for a major setback. Happy enough seeing the team absorb the new system and get more comfortable playing it, which is about all I can ask out of this season.

Dec. 7th

Two teams headed in different directions... I hope we don't overlook they guys and can get something from this one.

We are a goal down against Leicester. But since that early goal (inside 2 minutes), we have had 20 shots on goal. Pretty much one way traffic.

Come on you Irons!

Our girls just beat Czechia (1-2) and Euro 2025 here we go :D

Our Women almost played the pants off the Serbian Women at home in Stockholm with 6 - 0
(total 8 - 0 in the double meeting). They had fun 😍

So we’re also through to the EURO 2025 - see you there, but maybe not literally.

Just saw that our U23 girls won against England with 2 - 1 too, great!

Rough night for us last night. Had a job done on us again by Crystal Palace. Completely smothered us & we struggled to get any space to play our game. Everywhere was flat as well, inside the stadium & outside the stadium in the town centre.

We need to find ways to break these teams down who set up well against us. Its all well and good playing well against the better teams in the league as we have done this season (Aston Villa, Tottenham & Manchester United) all where they play and give us the space to play as well, but if we can't get results against the teams directly around us we're only heading one way.

It's been an incredible 2 years, but maybe we're now becoming victims of our own success in how quickly we've risen up from League One. Once again we ended the game last night with 6 players who played for us in League One.

Oh well, if we do go down... At least we won't have to deal with VAR every week!

Yes, happliy our best players are free from injuries as of now too.
Hope it stays that way🙏🏼

We and Norway and Denmark and other smaller countries have a good point, but we don't have as much width of players as larger countries.
When all are strong and healthy, we can beat any team 👊🏼
So hope their knees and foots, that are in particularliy prone to injuries in this sport, stay injury free🤞🏼

Probably the best out of possession football i've seen from Utd in a while. Amorim has gotten them more organised than the entirety of ETH's tenure. But he needs two windows to build out his team.

Thankfully our set-pieces are a real weapon. I don't blame opposition teams really...we just have absolute belief in our deliveries. Its a nice Plan B to have in tight matches.
Tough game but glad we got it done. Not looking forward to playing them again in the FA cup.

Kiwior and Zinny played well. So the level didn't drop as much as i thought it would.

Sidenote: would love Isak in our team, absolute baller. Even though his injury record concerns me. Love watching him.

It was a good, solid, victory, and very nice to see a composed, competent, confident, Arsenal back with us.

Isak, if you mean the Swedish one - he might take advantage of building some more muscles and maybe take some training advice from Zlatan 😉
They are about the same height, and Zlatan worked out very hard in the gym and also was very good in some martial arts, from what I've heard. He never had any bigger ongoing injuries from what I know, except from some groin issues at the end at least.

Everton v Liverpool early kick off was called off due to the weather and safety concerns.

What is nice about Liverpool’s new manager is no complaining. Klopp would have complained about an early kick off (as he always did). Complained about the game being cancelled. Then complain about whenever the game is rearranged for.

Michael Antonio has been injured in a car crash. Club have described him as stable which sounds pretty serious. Hope he is okay. Quality striker in the claret and blue.
Yes, I read about Michael Antonio - who is a very fine player - being injured in a car crash; I hope that he is okay - that he recovers well - and that it is not serious.

Antonio is in stable condition, thankfully. The pictures of the wreck looked pretty bad.

Now United are getting the pain and suffering that Ruben Amorim promised. Too many players in the squad are ill-suited to Amorim's preferred style of play, or aren't capable of making the effort. We're finding out fast which players should no longer have a future at the club — it's a question of how soon they can be sold off to fund more suitable reinforcements.

January fire sale then!
