I did it. Thought the phone was real nice but I use it too much and I'm out and about too often to carry that thing. I go to the gym daily and use my iPhone as a music source. The + was just way too big in my pocket. I also hike and same senecio just too much phone to lug around.

Awesome thread, one of those rare polite ones around these parts.

Let me share my story. I was nailed on to buy the + when it was announced. Since I live in Dubai, I couldn't get my hands on the new beauties one week after it was already shipped in the US. Passed my time watching other people unbox and review their new iPhones. Still was 100% sure about the +. Needed one. Was surely getting one.

Finally it was launched in the UAE. Went to the store on the first day, waitied in a queue just to get my hands on any device. Was lucky enough to play around with both for a long time. The moment I laid my eyes on +, I knew it wasn't for me. It's was just too...well, BIG! I came from an S3 so this was a major upgrade for me and the form factor of the 6 is almost identical to S3s. Walked out of the store with a 64GB gold 6 and haven't regretted for a single minute. Thought it was too slippery and delicate to hold, and didn't want to ruin the sleekness with a case, bought iCarbons skin and wrapped up the baby in Black and white carbon fibers. By far, best phone I've ever owned.

Cheers

Just sold mine after switching to a iPhone 6. I missed the ability to easily do tasks one handed and if I really want a big screen I pick up my iPad. I do miss the battery life on the plus but the 6 is not bad.

I had the 6, now I have the plus best move I ever made!!!!!! It felt big at first after couple o days it feels normal I couldn't go back to a smaller phone!! I love my plus. Btw I can do everything one hand on my plus

Totally spot on. You really have to try the phones for an extended period to get a feel for which one you'd really want. It's just not enough to play with them in store.

That's why you need to actually get a Plus and use it for an extended period of time. I don't understand how it's any less portable than a 6. Yes, it's bigger but we're not talking about the difference between a phone and a tablet. I have zero issues carrying the Plus around me have never once thought to myself gee, I wish this thing could be just a little smaller. Put simply, you get used to the form factor after a while.

But you don't understand, I live in Australia. We are not given a 14 day grace period here. The phone carriers here bend you over. You can sign on the dotted line and still return the phone if you change your mind, but so long as you don't turn on the phone or pre-charge it. Once you do either, even if for a split second, you're stuck with the phone. So no opportunities to test run a phone in every day use and no opportunity to compare both models in every day use. So I have to get it right first time as I do not have the luxury most of you have.

Anyone miss the battery life of the 6+? Is the regular 6 noticeably worse or is it still decent?

Logically, the regular 6 is the one I should buy. Feels absolutely awesome in the hand, it's the perfect size. Also, despite the lower screen resolution it was still great to look at.

Dat battery life tho...

On some of my longer days my phone battery gets slaughtered. It's just after midday here in London and my current phone is on 46%.

I had the 6 for almost 2 weeks loved the way it fit in my hands and it ran very smooth. It really is a great phone BUT the battery not so great for my needs. I see a thread here with peoples battery life on the 6 and I have no idea how they are getting such great results that was not the case for me. I do not want to charge my phone 2 times a day. So I went with the iphone 6 plus and at first my reaction was this is huge...hard to carry and I was going to return it and not get any iphone. By the second day it started to feel better and now 1 week into it i love it. The battery is awesome. I can go 2 days with reg use on one charge. Having the extra screen is amazing. love this phone...do not regret it at all.

I still didn't get an iphone 6 but i saw them with friends.

basically the iphone 6 plus is like iPad nano. Its too big for a phone, unless you use your phone as a working device(video editing, writing, emails, creating anything) you are better off with the iphone 6. Think of the iphone 6 plus as the iphone 6 PROfessional .

that or you actually like the bigger phones like Galaxy Note

When I first got my iPhone 5 I had exactly the same experience. It would drop 10% in like 20min of standby time (full drain in about 3.5 hours of light use). After shutting down all the GPS and tracking option, and 2 weeks or so of use it got a lot better.
