I put in plenty of disclaimers, if I was positive it was true I would have posted it on MacFacts.com, not MacRumors ... haha.

Regardless, I changed the thread title to curb the whining.
 
Well AT&T has already lied to me. This chick at AT&T told me it was Apples fault the iPhone didn't have MMS. I said "WTF??" I asked what training she had, etc. But she held firm. I offered to show her websites with info etc. Nope.
I even told her that the 3.0 software includes MMS functionality and for her to pull her head out and realize that the same phone, same OS has MMS with Rogers, with O2, etc. That the only cell provider not offering MMS with the iPHone was AT&T, she still said it was Apples issue and not at&t.

On that end, if they don' have MMS here within a week I'm just going to jb my phone and use swirlly. I've held off long enough and after being lied to, blatantly, I done with waiting for them to provide a service that is already available.

Oh wow, you told her. Does yelling at the CSR who has absolutely no say in the practices and policies of AT&T make you feel any better? I'm sure she called her boss and demanded they release MMS to iPhone users just because you called and yelled at her. :rolleyes:

Wonderful lady. I told her to have a great day and thanked her for her help. I hate when people treat lowly customer service reps poorly, so I try to treat them the way i'd like to be treated.

There, I fixed it for you. You would probably get much further if you try my changes next time.
 
I see three plans 200 SMS 1500 SMS and unlimited SMS no reference to MMS maybe your AT&T is better then mine? :(

+1... all I see in my AT&T plan is only "iPhone texting plans." nothing else...

Yup mms works for me and I don't know how i get that texting package:confused: I'm a returning ATT customer and when I signed up for the online account it let me pic that messaging package. From there I did what all the other mms threads say to do except after filling out the carrier data I went to the bottom and selected reset settings. Ever since then mms has worked (almost a week now)

Wow!!! You got very lucky my friend!!!! Does anyone know how I can change my Iphone unlimited texting plan into the unlimited package this guy has? It would really help a lot... Thanks
 
No no lads, I gave you the summary. I was on the phone for over 30 minutes while she gave me line after line after line of lies. I held my breath and didn't argue. There was no yelling, your assumptions are wrong. We both were very cordial in our tone and words.

But when you catch them in a complete lie, they know they got caught, so then then tell you another lie to cover up for the other? No, I won't stand for that from any company I'm a customer of. So I told her she was wrong and that her training is suffering and incomplete.

At no time did I call her a name. So I suggest you take the words and leave the assumptions. Thank you.

Again, if AT&T feels a need to lie to its customers to cover up for its failures then I feel quite comfortable with expressing my opinion about them.

I love how all of you are getting yourselves all excited that they're adding MMS soon, because of this change in your account. You are really making this wait fun for me to watch :D

And I feel quite comfortable with expressing my opinion about you. We all know that no one really knows when MMS will actually be coming out, so why would you even ask? Furthermore, why would you get mad when she simply tells you what she has been told. AT&T tells their employees that it is Apples fault, and they believe them, she could have easily told you "I don't know" and left it at that, but she decided to tell you what she's heard regardless of the factual basis behind it ... but that's all she knows.

Stop complaining about all these "lies" people are telling you. They just don't know the answer and you should know that. Hounding a CSR isn't going to hasten MMS coming along, so just chill out.

Some AT&T store manger selling secrets for pizza must be damn good and expensive pizza. you really believed that crap. if I were you and this really happened. Our MMS stopped working...:( I dont have the energy to try to make it happen again. I'm waiting on ATT.
