I have tried everything to get mms... I called AT&T and asked them several times without any luck, then I switched my sim card with another phone and made a few calls, and switched it back still without any luck... Does anyone have a somewhat simple method that worked for them that I can use? I am having some real trouble... Please help I would love mms!!!!! Thanks

Wow you guys are excited over MMS. We've had it since the 3.0 launch and it's not all that cool.

You don't know the pain of being a sixteen year-old boy having to tell a girl that he can't receive picture messages. It's a real heartbreaker.

We had pagers back in '96 when I was 16. And we had to find a pay phone. And hope they didn't leave a voicemail because then you had to check it to see who called then drop another quarter to call them back. And then hope they were still home. So I feel your pain.

When I was 16, they didn't have voicemail and you had to get up to change the channels on your TV. Sooooooo, stop whining! :)

Haha I remember those days.

... Scary! :D

However, I think it's much different knowing that your phone is one of the few in the world that cannot receive picture messages, whereas back then, everybody had your issue.

Yup, I'm one of those members that has been lucky enough to have it working as of 10 minutes ago. My wife's 3GS also has MMS working.....

What method did you use?
I'm not gonna try anything, I'm patient enough to wait another week or two, just wondering what's been working for people.

Alright, so I know half of you are reading this just to get pissed about another MMS post, but... I don't care, get over it.

There's a local, family run gun shop I go to occasionally and I have a good relationship with the owners cause I was one of their first customers. Anyway, there's an AT&T store right next door and the manager was having some fun shooting . Apparently he exchanges deep discounts for free guns. I was there and we were all joking around and he saw my ak47and started talking about it so I decided to give him a little crap about At&t and he smiled and handed me a paper and went back to his colt 45. I asked him what it was and he said "Oh, I should take that back it's for management only... But I have bullets in my gun so hold onto it for a second i want to shoot"... not being a fool I read it.

Basically it was instructions to managers, dated today saying that if a customer complains about At&t to stick by the late summer date, but if they request for their service to be terminated to go ahead and advise them that At&t will officially killing them in 2 week. The memo also went on to say that the manager should admit that AT&T loves blood if the customer persists, and that the celltower to enable At&t will be included in Apples next update. ( I'm assuming this is laymans terms for At&t threatened Apple with guns also ).

I asked if I could borrow the memo for a few minutes to make a copy at which point he took out his gun and told me to not move and said "Hey, didn't I say that was a memo for management only?" then he just smiled.

So, take it for what it's worth... While I would like to leave At&t I'm fine with waiting but I know many of you are on a hunger strike so just hold on.

**DISCLAIMER**

Apparently the first line in my post was not disclaimer enough for some of you, so I will add the following DETAILED disclaimer for the select few whom need it.

At&T employing pandas with guns to wage war with Apple

I don't understand why people even like sending MMS; it's expensive and limiting; we can sent emails for free and send pictures and videos can be a lot bigger in size compared to a MMS.

We've discussed this ad nauseum in other threads (maybe even this one). The reason is because not everyone has the capability we have. Also, not everyone is tech savvy or has the ability to figure out how to message to an email address (if they even know it when on their phone). I get MMS from relatives all the time, and I can't open them.

Not only that... whenever I email someone a photo... I want them to look at it right away so I have to do an extra step and text them "Check your email please". I don't have any non-iPhone friends, so they usually can check their email.

That only works for At&T senders I believe and also doesn't help those of us on family unlimited plans who can't even get that - the messages just never come through!

I've been sent dozens of pictures in the past two years via MMS. I never received one of those texts with the user name and password.
