I recently changed the battery on my iPhone XS and the battery is dropping 1% every 1 minute and 43 seconds while I'm on the phone.
Is this good or is the battery faulty?

Stick with OEM batteries which are fitted at the Apple Store. If you use a 3rd party battery, it’ll be a complete crapshoot.

There's your issue. As said genuine battery is the only way to go. I had to travel an hour to Manila to drop off my daughters battery at a Mac store to get the battery replaced and then go back again to pick it up. Alternative? A wealth of local shops offering to fit a third party battery for next to nothing. No way I was going to do that!
I couldn’t agree more. Over the last 2 years I have paid for OEM battery replacements for an SE1, 6S and an 8. I will replace my 13’s battery via the Apple Store around January 2025 also.

Yes, it is more expensive, however you are guaranteed a quality product and peace of mind.

Doing what?
2hours playing a heavy game can be reasonable to go down feom 100 to 0%.

It is not good, but it is likely that the battery is performing as designed.

3rd party batteries can be notorious in terms of their capability. Many simply do not hold as much power as they claim, and so the voltage drops off very quickly as power is consumed.

But the benefit of a 3rd party battery is the price, as they can be easily found for under $15. The downside is that these batteries never include a real warranty that allows you to recoup your losses if proven bad.

I stopped buying 3rd party batteries four years ago as quality went from "20% bad product" to "80% bad product". The rework I had to do for justifiably unhappy customers made 3rd party battery installation unprofitable for my shop.
