It’s crazy! Charged to 88% at 10:42pm last night and just now at 54%. Not sure if it’s due to switching off second esim or software learning but it’s impressive!

I cant seen to find anything run with this fun. Run much cooler than my iphone 12 max, battery is insane. 120hz is amazing.

This is what I’m getting on my 13 Pro Max after a day of use… I don’t know, it’s not bad buuuut… I don’t think I’m getting quite as good performance as others? Down to 26% now.

What's your usage, browsing, video consumption, gaming, etc.? Since the display is variable refresh rate your battery life will be variable too. Any usage that maintains a low Hz will get better battery life while gaming is more worst case.

I feel like I’m just not getting the same performance? Was at 100% last night at 9pm. Since then I’ve had 4h 45 mins of screen on time and 30m of screen off time, which was mostly music.

Background app refresh off for most apps. I did all the battery saving tweaks/toggles in location settings etc. I’ve been using it for extremely light things, brightness set between 30-50% and using Wi-Fi the whole time. I don’t have 5G either.

Battery is now at 62%. So nearly 40% drain for just that, when lots of you seem to be getting upwards of 7 hours on that amount of drain? I’ll keep monitoring and see how it goes… but even in that screen on time, my usage was extremely light. No games or anything that made the phone even slightly warm.
same. I think Im gonna wait for 15.1/15.01 until i try a wipe and restore

Almost exclusively web browsing and reading today. Little bit of music and phone calls. Almost no video watching, no gaming whatsoever. So I should have mostly low Hz content. I use an app to browse this forum to reduce battery drain and also have an ad blocker for Safari.

I am not getting that great of a battery life either. I had auto brightness on, 5G disabled. While it is better than my Xs max. It is nowhere near you guys. I am currently at 39%. Any tips?

I turned off auto brightness even tho I thought it makes battery last longer.
I don’t game on this device

Could it be Spotify killing the battery? It is background mainly.

I think since I use an ad blocker, my 13 Pro Max never seems to even get warm when I browse this website. There is nothing overhyped about this phone this year. If anything Apple was conservative about the battery life.

Looks like there is a battery drain issue with Spotify.

I also have another question. Would it be wise to turn on iCloud photos if I have 38Gb remaining or should I wait? I am not a fan of iCloud photos since I like to keep things local but if I need to, I can try it.

I do not use iCloud photos. So I can't really answer your question.

I wonder if I should contact Apple. I should definitely be getting better than this from the 13 Pro Max.

Did you set up your iPhone from a phone to phone transfer. That is what I did and maybe that is the reason for poor battery life.
