Just called my local Apple Store and it turns out they are sold out of all their Bumpers and don't know when they will get more in stock. Bleh.

Just like the iPad case. If you can find one, even pay $60 for one, do it.

Is it just me or is there a little play in the Bumper between the phone? I put it on correctly, gave each side a little pressure to make sure it was seated and in a minute or two I could feel the Bumper flexing as if there was a gap between it and the phone in certain spots. Driving me crazy, as it feels sloppy and diminishes the singular unibody feel of the naked phone. Will be returning in the next day or two, just going to stick with my Wrapsol Ultra, no case.

I had the same issue and I've taken my bumper off. It was only noticeable in a few spots on the iPhone but, regardless, it's annoying.

nice little case but im hoping incase or seidio comes out with something better

i actually dont like the feel of the phone in hand with the case on

ill use it though, since apple's little brilliant marketing team planned to have JUST there case on launch day

This is also annoying the crap out of me too. My bumper has the flexing issue at the top and the bottom. It makes it feel very cheap...

If it had a tighter fit I would be happy as can be....I was hoping it was just an issue with my particular one, but now it doesn't appear that way

I've got one on it's way from China that I ordered when I ordered my iPhone. I'm going to put up with this one and see if that one is just as bad. If it is then I'm getting something like a CandyShell.

Have a bumper on my iPhone and it's just fantastic. You can't go wrong with Apple accessories given their fit, quality, and R&D. Yes, the price you pay is high, but it's worth it for a product that just works. :)

Got the black bumper today and I love it. I feel a bit of flex on the sides (not much) and it doesn't bother me a lick.

Just waiting for my best skins ever to arrive then I feel feel comfortable keeping this thing in my pocket!

The price seems high, but the quality of the bumper is superb IMO.

The only play on mine is the upper left corner by the headphone jack and the silent switch. Everything else feels good. I might give it another day before giving up on this one and waiting for the one coming from China. Overall it doesn't feel bad but it's just annoying.

That being said, this iPhone feels sturdy enough to use without a case.

There are threads with pics around here already

What a ****ing useless comment you decided to post. Not even did you provide any links, but this is clearly a half assed memory of yours, glancing on some picture somewhere in some thread on this forum.

I really don't like mine that much... Heres why:

Since the back is open, and the bumper still needs to grip the phone, it sticks out a bit, few millimeters. It's not horrible but I just hate the feeling of holding the phone with the bumper on it. The naked iphone 4, or the 3GS is a hundred times better.

No. I trust Apple glass to be very scratch resistant. I did not cover the front of my iPhone 3G which lived in a front pocket for 2 years and am not covering my iPad either.

Apple glass = good enough protection unless you're a blue collar type.

Why do you have the price of your iPad in your siggy? Why your car? I bet people on here drive nicer cars and they don't post about it.

Thanks for all the info...

Just ordered an orange and a blue one for my wife and I from the apple store online.

Says it wont deliver for a month, but... that's the way it is I guess.

Seems funny that they wouldn't have these ready when they had 600K phones ready. A rubber band ought to be easier to manufacture in large quantities than an iPhone4 :)

it has a better grip then I expected. I like the iphone bare but it is too hard for me to hold with security.

This bothers me a little bit as well. I think that the extra play comes from the top corner with the headphone jack because there is a section that is all silicon. The rest of the bumper has rigid plastic. I think that some flexibility is necessary so that we can put the bumper onto the iPhone, but it is kind of annoying.

I also worry that if the bumper is moving around it might end up scratching the glass or metal frame after some dust/dirt/etc gets under the bumper.

I was thinking about trying to heat up the silicon portion a little bit to see if it would shrink. Anyone think that could work?

Overall, I still like the bumper a lot, but I will be keeping my eyes open for a tighter fitting alternative.

That's exactly the problem. The lack of plastic around the headphone jack makes it slip at the top. Great case but bad design.

I'm also looking for something a bit tighter than the bumper. I might look at the CandyShell.

My guess is that there was a glitch in pre-production or a manufacturer that couldn't make enough.

It's a great, great case. I think it's my favorite part of the iP4, actually.
