Back luck for anyone who ordered through Telus and lives in New Brunswick or Newfoundland. Just got off the phone with Purolator, apparently Telus waited until last night to ship them out and because of fog the planes were diverted to Halifax. Earliest delivery will be Monday

Same. It's driving me crazy. The tracking has just said "Concord, ON, Canada 09/21/2012 9:01 Out for Delivery" all day! I'm north of Toronto. I still have to go out after for a sim card.

I've been home all day waiting for my phone.. I live in Brampton an concord is 20 mins away.. WTF

Surprised no one here is talking about the Fido (and Rogers?) outage! Been trying to pickup my phone all day but can't because their systems are completely down...

Not many people here with Fido I guess...

Mine just shipped, probably for a Monday delivery. Start of week is better for me: I'll just be spending more time with my kids instead of neck down looking at a phone...

I called the Apple Store near me the other day they said the line is for buying the phone only. That I wouldn't need to line up for just the sim card.

Took 1 minute to get the SIM card from Apple, but I've now been waiting for 2 hours for Rogers to activate it

just finally got my white 32gb from telus after purolator had it out for delivery all day. so happy except the activate phone # doesn't work but that is pretty understandable, trying to see if the twitter folks will activate it for me.

Ugh, idiots.

Well that's it for me, delivery hours are over and I have received nothing.

Do phone carriers somehow compensate for this kind of service? I'm so close to calling Telus and telling to to **** right off.

Nooooooo :( Shoulda went to Future Shop!

Almost 4PM. Still no UPS delivery.

At Yonge and College in downtown Toronto and still haven't received my unlocked iPhone yet....
Come on UPS =)

I called UPS and gave them big **** for shifting the "GUARANTEED DELIVERY BY.." If they can keep shifting it, what kind of a guarantee is that??? Anyway, maybe it was because I was upset that the operator was more upfront with me this time. She said that Apple shipped them in bulk so each palette of boxes gets it time set together, not for each individual delivery so some of the iPhones in my palette got delivered before noon, some before 1:30 and the rest by the end of the day today.

She also said that it's likely that because they're so overwhelmed with shipments in downtown Toronto right now, that they're serving businesses first because they close at 5 and then will move to residential. Great! I've been waiting at home since 9am for nothing. Why aren't they just straight forward right away??

So if you're in downtown Toronto and you're in a residence, chill out for a while because your iPhone will likely not arrive before 5pm. Probably closer to 6 or 7.

same here, waiting.... will it show Rogers or do we have to restart the device? just says no service and searching for me right now! question of the day, if you turn of LTE does it default to 3G?

Good news: I'm keeping my iPhone 5 until I get the replacement sent to me from Apple. Only catch is a hold is put on my card, but whatever, I'm not planning on stealing this one.

Anyone know if you can switch to the nano-SIM/activate LTE on Rogers online?
Yes but ever since noon or so the online sim activation has been down. I was able to activate before noon though.

Rogers might have fixed the problem already.

Oh yeah - if you've successfully changed your SIM card over and are still getting no service, turn the phone off for a minute and turn it back on. If it doesn't work, wait an hour and repeat.

I'm up and running with 3g connectivity but I'm not in an LTE zone. Will be in about 10 minutes and I'll be able to see what happens then.
