Ok here I will try and help.
I made the switch from PC to Mac, and this is how I did it.
Make sure both computers are on the same network, and go to iTunes and select on the homesharing section on the right hand side. On they iMac, press import and select the things you would like to transfer (videos, music, etc)
It could take sometime depending on how much content you have. It took me 1 hour to import 200 songs.
Plug your iPhone into your mac, and go to File>Transfer purchases, if you have any bought items from iTunes. then you should have all of your media onto your iMacs iTunes. To recover your contacts, open up the contacts app on your Mac and File>import from your iPhone. Then you can sync your phone with your mac and it shouldnt be any different.
Any other questions, just post below![]()
do you have to be 18 to purchase an unlocked iphone? im not 18 yet but my parents work during the day so it would be hard to find a time anytime soon when we could go grab my phone
any word on the stock levels at marketmall in calgary?
its okay, i was going to get a 16GB anyway. anyone know if there is a purchasing age though?
My mother was finally able to get her hands on an iP4 today. She had to wait a few hours at the Apple Store at Fairview Mall in Toronto, but she was able to get one.
I'm looking forward to using FaceTime with her.![]()
What time was your mom there? Did she just drop by or call ahead?
/sigh when are we going to get some decent cases up here.. I'm tired of seeing the same Case Mate and Griffin cases EVERYWHERE....

She went there at around 12:30-1pm.
She just went there because when she called, it said that there were 10 people ahead of her, so she didn't bother waiting on hold and wasting time on the phone.
She said that they were pretty unorganized, and that it took longer than it should have. She noticed that the employees were easily distracted when they were supposed to come out to get the next person in line. When it was time to activate her iP4, it took all of 5 minutes.
She got a 32GB because they sold out of the 16GBs. She said that they sent people away because they figured out where in the line they would run out of them, so there was no point for those people to keep waiting.
She told me that a few people tried to bud in line, and that security was called to take them away.
My guess is that unless they get a new shipment tonight or tomorrow, there are no more iP4's at Fairview for now.
i'm getting a decent price on a 32G at&t iphone4 (from US). can i just buy and unlock and use it on rogers? what are the negative things? i guess everytime i upgrade OS i loose my unlock, correct? with all the waiting and a decent price (cheaper by about 300), is it worth?
