meh life goes on. I just wish Rogers communication from the top to the bottom from warehouse to the people was a lot better.

I finally got my NEW 32 GB IPHONE- i am one very happy person today.

It seems that rogers stores around the GTA have been recieving small shippments of iphones.

I have been following RFD for a while when one guy posted and said that they were in stock at the Eaton center. Now I work just above the mall so I ran as fast as I could to get to the phone. The first Kiosk I tried was sold out. I then ran to the rogers store across freashly squeezed and they had one more 32GB left.

It took me no more than 30 min from leaving work to get the phone. Beat lining up at the apple store for hours.

Then I have the data plan 6GB for 30$

Total is about $75 with taxes

Thing is, I don't have visual voice mail and I want it. How do I go about getting it?
 
Yes sir! I just got an email from Virgin saying that my iPhone 4 is shipped! It should get here in three to five days. It took a while... but it shouldn't be too long now! :D
 
managed to get one of the last iphones in london a couple days ago. 3GS of course.

bell, 150 min (who makes phone calls? ;)), nights/weekends, unlimited txt, my 10 local, 6GB data... comes out to $72-ish?

reception and the phone itself have been flawless so far, and i am loving this 6GB of data.

this is (finally) my first iphone so i am pretty crazy about it.

so I called I got everything I have, they took the access fee off, the 911 fee off and I kept the:
6 gig 30
27 for my phone 200 minutes
unlimited incoming and after 6
2500 txt
caller id
visual voicemail
and txt who called for 75 plus tax
I didn't want to push my luck with the guy he was very nice to me as I was nice to him :eek:

I have had this plan since sept 08, minus the data.

I just extended my contract 3 more years with the data plan because of the iPhone 4. Justvwant to know if I can do better
 
I have a question for Fido users. Do you guys have any problems with reception, I'm not talking about antenna issues. I've noticed that my 3g phone was able to have more bars in certain places. A friend of mine has an iphone 4 like me but he's with rogers and we were both in the same basement and his reception was higher then mine... I'm just wondering anyone has noticed this?
 
Oh man i have a Bad antenna issue- I put my finger on it and it goes down two bars. When i even put a case on it, the case forces the phone to go down another bar.

My mom wants me to return it. She says there's no reason to keep a phone with signal issues- what do i do???

Listen to your mother she brought you into this world, she can just as easily take you out again.
 
Haha nice one. I was hoping that i wouldn't have this problem- I'm debating returning it. I know rogers has a 15 day 30 min policy and i may end up using it. I have yet to use a single minute on the phone because i want to keep my options open.

Well your dad would have to do the talking... But I would consider dropping the 1500mins (is it really this much?) and going for a much lower number like 300 or so, and ask the rep about adding visual voicemail in its place.

But your plan is pretty good.

Yup you can. But make sure you are talking to customer relations and not the regular csr's

I have it too but I have yet to have a dropped call. It doesn't affect my day to day usage, so I'm happy with it. Chances are you will get the issue with almost all i4's so either you want an iPhone with this issue or get another phone

Did you update to 4.0.1? It might help with the bars going down. It would still go down but not as fast

I'm worry they wouldn't do a thing I just got the iP4 at launch (hardware upgrade) but plan remains the same when I first signed up with FIDO in back 2008...hmm

you got it right, I've grandfathered this plan. I got it 2 years ago. Was very lucky with Rogers Retentions and got almost $40 off my current pricing. Just like I said, was paying almost $100 for it:eek:
