Could i order it online and still get the HardWare Upgrade cost?

You will have to check with your service provider. I read that one dude bought his online and faxed the order receipt to Fido so he got the subsidized price. (credit for this next bill payment? not sure).

I got mine on a 3-year contract with Telus a month ago, and I love it! Went in, got my name put on a list, and got a call 2 weeks later that they had one in for me. I was not expecting to hear back so quickly! I got a discount too even with a year left on my old contract - I just couldn't wait to get my iPhone, lol. I didn't get the full discounted price, but it was better then I was expecting (which was nothing). My plan is pretty good, I got the $55 student plan and I added on caller ID as well.:)

That's a really good deal. I just called Rogers a few days ago and asked for the $50 plan. So I'm paying $50 for voice plan (includes unlimited calling/text in Canada and USA), $15 for iPhone value pack (visual voicemail and bs), $30 for 6gb data), $2.68 for government regulatory fee. So my total before taxes is $97. I have no system access fee or 911 fee, but I'm gonna see if I can get some money knocked down from my data.

with the launch of videotron's mobile service in quebec on wednesday, plans have decreased in price across the board with many service providers.

i upgraded my plan and phone with rogers 1 month and ended up getting on the 50$ unlimited local calling voice plan. i just found out that that very voice plan is now only 35$/month! i called customer relations to see if there was anything they could do to switch me on to that, and sure enough they were able to. i was worried i wouldn't get that plan since i already negotiated my contract over a month ago but that wasn't the case.

just to let you know, that the new 50$ plan at retentions is unlimited local calling + unlimited long distance + unlimited SMS canada/us.

all in all, after tax, i pay about 65$, get unlimited local calling, 6 gb, call id, voicemail. i'm pretty happy.

If you have been a Rogers customer for awhile you should have called retentions and got a better deal with some credits.

Hello Guys!!!!

My friend is in Canada for the next week, I asked him to buy an Iphone 4 for me, could you guys say if it is possible to enter a Apple store and walk out with one??

I mean are thre lineups? I read here most part of the replies says it is out of stock..

He will pass through Toronto, Montreal and Quebec....

Thanks

=]

i've been waiting for an iphone 4 since august 1 and have lined up for one 3 times. I still dont have one, you guys are lucky :(

I was in Toronto last week... there were still people lining up for iPhone 4s at the Eaton Centre.

People lining up everyday at all times during the day. They arrive at 2:30am standing outside the mall. I was able to get one without lining up, pure luck really.

I got my iPhone 4 a few weeks ago, first smartphone I've ever owned. It's amazing having so much functionality in the palm of my hand everywhere I go.

I still have a few months left in my Telus contract so I just bought it outright and adjusted my plan to include data. Although I don't think 500mb will be enough for me each month.

Hey folks, you've been pretty helpful to me in the past so I'm hoping I can lean on you once again for some answers. Here's my story and questions:

I'm in the Ottawa area, there are still daily line-ups for the i4, I just don't want to do that. I'm going to order the unlocked version on-line but I'm unsure of some of the steps.

I presently own a 3G with about one year left on my Fido account. If I get the unlocked version, I want to get both a Fido and Bell microsim card, but I want to be able to use my present phone # with either card. Is this possible? How easy is it to get a month to month contract with either of these providers? Can I quit either at any time and maybe start again later?

To complicate matters, I'd like to transfer my existing 3G phone and Fido account to my wife to finish off. Can she change her existing Fido phone number (non iphone) to this account without problem? , I realize we will need to pay the full data account.

I hope his all makes sense, if not let me know. I really just want to add an unlocked phone to our family but I'm a bit unsure if it can go smoothly.

As always, thanks for your help. Cheers.

Your number can only be assigned to one account at one time. You can get it switched to another provider however it takes a couple days for the transfer to complete. To do this you have to call the provider you want to move the number to (Bell?) and tell them that you want to move your old number over and they will take care of the details. I am not sure if prepaid services qualify for number portability, call Bell to verify. Just remember that you have to pay the cancellation fees at Fido.

As for giving your iPhone 3G to your wife. This is possible and easily done. Just put her old sim card into your old iPhone 3G and its done. Her number rings on the iPhone 3G, and all her plan details should work fine. Just remember to turn off Cellular data on the iPhone.

Once you port your old number out to Bell, Fido will automatically cancel your account. Your plan will be cancelled an you'll be charged any ECF. You can try to sweet-talk your way out of this but it's hard and the CSR may not do it for you. Porting mobile to mobile usually takes less than 10 minutes.

Today I went into the apple store in west Edmonton mall and they too were out of stock, so I resorted to purchasing online instead because it it a two hour drive for me, one way so it's too much of a hassle to drive back and forth. It is expected to be three weeks to arrive from the date of purchase. I will keep you updated as to when it arrives.

hey there,

I am thinking buying an iphone 4...are there still good deals? 6gb for 30$ I think with 1 gb it would be enough for me really...the telus student deal seems nice enough....

What do you think?

The shipment starts around 3 weeks. So you may wait for 4 weeks for your iPhone.

Ya, I called up Rogers, and complained about my plan being too expensive.. now they knocked off 10 bucks a month from my data plan, and removed the iphone value pack price from my account.. so I saved 25 bucks a month now..

thanks..

Now I'm just under $75 bucks a month with unlimited calling and texting including long distance in canada and usa with free roaming.. and 6 gb per month for my data. That includes tax and I'm never gonna go over my monthly price.

i went in the Rogers store (one of many) to check on where i was at on the "waiting list"

they pretty much rolled their eyes and kicked me out after showing page after page after page of names.

Eff this, i'm seriously thinking of just waiting till July now for iPhone 5. this is just ridiculous at this point.

Iphone 4 case program

I have a question about the Iphone 4 case program that ends Sept 30th 2010.
On Apple's website it's stated that the program applies for phones purchased before september 30th.
My iphone 4 is scheduled to ship on October 5th 2010.

My question is will I be able to use the iphone 4 case program app after September 30th?

I'm confused because I purchased my iphone 4 September 14th 2010 but the program ends September 30th

I'm in the same situation, ordered two days after you actually. I called Apple up the other day and they said that we should be able to order a case, as long as you ordered your iPhone before Sept 30th.

Worst case call up apple and they will help you out.

As Apple stated in their notice a few weeks ago about the Case Program. If you need a case after Sept 30th, call them up and they will send you one free.
