The problem that when me and you go to APPLE tomorrow, they wont go by documentation. I'm a week shy of 2 years so according to the the checker, im elgiible for full price only. I know that by going to ROGERS they can see the documentation and have more access.

Whats your thoughts?

Thanks

You should be able to call Rogers tomorrow morning and see if you can straighten it out. The rep told me that they don't have any information on their computers yet and won't until tomorrow.

Eligibility Checker:
Folks it's NOT working correctly so do not take this as gospel. Please use the following as a guideline:

Did you activate or upgrade your Rogers iPhone on a term contract between January 1, 2009 and June 7, 2010?
Then you’re eligible for at least $250 off the no-term device price. That’s an iPhone 4 16GB/32GB for $399/$499 on a new 3-year voice and data plan.

Did you activate or upgrade your Rogers iPhone on a term contract on or before December 31, 2008?
Thank you for your business. You’re eligible for at least $480 off the no-term device price. You can pick up an iPhone 4 16GB/32GB for $159/$269 on a new 3-year voice and data plan.

Did you activate or upgrade the original iPhone 3G in 2008 and then upgrade again between June 19 and September 15, 2009?
You’re also eligible for at least $480 off the no-term device price. You can pick up an iPhone 4 16GB/32GB for $159/$269 on a new 3-year voice and data plan.

Just talked to Sales and 3 different reps and they all confirmed that I am eligible for the $159 pricing. I got my BB in December 2008. So just follow the above and you should be good.

The problem with the above is that 2 of those scenarios overlap. You could have bought a 3GS in June 2009 and you get $400/500 pricing for iPhone4. But if you bought a 3G in 2008 and a 3GS in 2009 then you get the 159/269 pricing. Doesn't make sense... also weird that its only mentioning iPhone upgrades, nothing about people who upgraded to a Blackberry or something else during those periods.

Wait, what?! How did you get that price? If you upgraded to the 3G, then you are between Jan. 1st '09 - June 7th '10, aren't you?

Since he/she upgraded on launch day both years, he/she falls in this category.

Can somebody please answer this:

My dad is out of town, wont be back till Sunday. Can I call Rogers and pretend to be him and make me whatever its called so I can upgrade without him there?

Also, I will be getting the $159 price, which means I need to extend my contract, will I need to be over 18, I am 2 weeks away from 17 right now.

If thats the case, can I call pretending to be him and make someone like my Uncle the person (sry forget what its called).

I just dont wanna wait till Sunday and have them all sold out. Then I will have to wait like forever...

Good luck.. I wouldn't be surprised if all of Rogers systems go down tommorow with the sheer volume of call they will receive.

Hey when you go to the Apple store
can you buy your iPhone with debit?
and do you need to bring some sort of ID?
I got a G1 Drivers License a health card?
I dont know lol

Does anyone have the DIRECT NUMBER to Rogers Retentions???

don't bother. i talked to retentions, just went to the manager and he had no info on the HUP. I told him I was eligible and he refused to believe me so I made him go to redboard and he still said it was wrong, and that his system doesn't have it in yet

Calgarians, Here are the list of Rogers stores you can go to:

Silver Springs
Center Street
McKnight
Acadia

All Malls will have some sort of Rogers store/kiosk that will be carrying them.

Only thing is, most places will have around 5 phones.

Most Rogers Plus stores open around 10, and the mall ones open anywhere between 8-10.

This is going to be tough, considering my dad isnt even here to upgrade for me...

Well... I just got off the phone with a Bell rep. He wasn't very helpful... he said he didn't know anything about the new plans and all. He asked me what Rogers was offering and when I told he was like "Yeah, I have to agree that is a good deal."

So... I asked if they could match it but it didn't know... he said if I called tomorrow that he would know what Bell has to offer. Only good part is that I'm can get the full upgrade + half off the price of the phone... which by the way he said he didn't know what it was. I told him that Rogers had posted all that info on their website. And this was with retention... I'll have to call back tomorrow I guess.

Family Plan upgrade Q

Can this work?

If I get in line and then my sister takes my spot when I have to go to work, can she upgrade my cell phone line for me? She is a registered on the account as someone who can make changes to it.

So what I'm trying to find out is if someone who is regisetered on the account to make changes, can change a cell phone number that is not hers? We are on a family plan, so technically we are under one plan, but with four different phones on the account.

A local Fido rep told me that launch day on 3G - phones weren't sold outright (as they were priced $3500 per phone). They also said they were not sure if they will sell iPhones outright on launch day either.

I called another popular Fido retail store - they have said they will NOT be selling iPhone 4's outright - "as it is a policy" and "we don't know how long that policy will last for". Note : they are corporate..

-.- I hope it's BS*. I don't want to stack my contracts with Fido. God! Why did I not go with Rogers

I just called Rogers retentions and I got to keep my exact plan bellow, all for $59.42 including tax :):):):D Originally was $82.
