My recent contract is like that except I still have the old 6GB. however my bill is under 70 bucks?
Can someone explain the "retention" part?

Existing Bell iPhone 3GS 16Gb is shown there but the second number from Rogers is there too that will be activated it has generic phone pic. Once I pick between 16Gb/32Gb iPhone 4 I guess they will update the image once activated? My rogers number still works.

Call Rogers. Tell them you want to switch to another carrier. They will transfer you to retention representative. Tell them you cant afford to pay how much you pay every month and are thinking of switching carriers. They will ask if you would like to stay if they offered you a cheaper deal. There you go.
 
Does anyone know what time we'll be able to start ordering unlocked phones on Apple.ca? I'm in the Mountain Time Zone. Thanks!
 
I'm in Buffalo and stopped by the Apple Store at Walden Galleria. Surprisingly not many people around the iPhones. I tried the 'death grip' and it didn't drop a bar. Excited for tomorrow! Pricing seems good, but now I'm worried lines will be longer than ever. What time should I line up? Eeks, going to Apple Store at Fairview Mall.
 
So wait is the Rogers "if you bought the 3G and upgraded to 3GS you can get the phone for $159" deal ONLY for people who bought the 3GS on launch day? My boyfriend is planning on lining up with me at Apple tomorrow, but he thinks he might have gotten the 3GS a couple of days after launch...I don't want to stand in line all night for him to end up empty handed.

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm an idiot-there's a date range for buying the iPhone 3GS.

You need to phone back and get a better deal. This is what I got this morning for $50 + 2.38 grrf
Unlimited E+W starting at 6PM
250 Anytime minutes
My 5, unlimted call, text and mms to those #s
500MB Data, upgraded to 1GB no charge
2500 outgoing Text messages
CID EVM and call Waiting

nvm, thats is good deal. I didnt see + taxes
 
Ooh - first post! (been following this site for months though)

Virgin Mobile has posted on their Twitter that they will have the $30/6GB Data Plan too! Details won't be posted til tomorrow. I'm very happy to hear this, as I was hoping to stick with Virgin. :)

For 60.91 tax and GRRF and all other fee`s inclusive I just agreed to this on retentions.

Unlimited Evening Weekends 5PM
500 Anytime
1000 Long Distance Canada Wide
Unlimited SMS and MMS
6GB Data (today marked it at 1gb for 30, call in tomorrow switch to 6 for 30)
Caller ID/ Name Display
Enhanced Voicemail
Call Forwarding etc
edit: also got unlimited incoming and unlimited network calling (which i believe extends to Fido)

It is per monthly, it is a ripoff at 20+GRRF. Your looking at around 25$ for the sake of rounding, for sharing a 6GB pool. For 35, you get 5GB alone for the ipad, without sharing a pool.

at 10$ i would have done it, but not 20+grrf.

Only for iPad 3g. if you are on a wifi ipad, jailbreak your iPhone, pay 10$ one time fee for Mywi, and wifi tether for free!

200 weekday minutes
Unlimited evenings/weekends (9 p.m.)
Rogers2Rogers calling
iPhone Value Pack (2500 outgoing text; unlimited incoming; CID; Who Called) + Visual voicemail
6GB data
SAF, 911
$72.70 + tax

After calling retentions, I got all of the above plus early evenings and weekends (6 p.m.) and 100 Canadian long distance minutes, all for $55.08 plus tax.
 
The Eligibility Checker is incorrect. ROGERS KNOWS ABOUT IT. Please find this paragraph in on their forum board. at redboard.rogers.com

Did you rid of the SAF? They are not supposed to charge you on it anymore
 
Why do these idiot providers make it so damn confusing to get an iPhone? All the plans mentioned above are excellent, how did you people get them? Bell says $90/m for only 1GB of data.

I'm not on any contract with anyone. How can I get a good deal like this?
 
This thread has been pretty fun to follow, and although this is my first post it will also be my last as I just got off the phone with Bell and I will be picking up my iPhone 4 tomorrow at 10:30. I am home alone at the moment so I had to tell someone.
