This thread has been pretty fun to follow, and although this is my first post it will also be my last as I just got off the phone with Bell and I will be picking up my iPhone 4 tomorrow at 10:30. I am home alone at the moment so I had to tell someone.

How did you do that? Can you reserve them?

Anybody here from Surrey? What is the gest Rogers dealer to go? Should I go to the Rogers Plus Stores, or a Rogers Dealer not Best buy or Future Shop

If you were on Telus I could help you. My friend is working tomorrow either in Port Kells or Walnut Grove and she's holding one for me. She did say if I pay for it outright I can go get it today. She's been sending me pics of her messing with it all day. Doesn't make sense to pay full price for it though.

I don't mind driving out to Port Kells. Can you help me! :D Haha

It seems Virgin mobile won't get their iPhone on time! I just got an email from them saying "We are counting down!" and "iPhone 4 is coming soon"

I'm waiting for tomorrow's grande salles from apple online store!

Sign contracts. Stay on contract and don't hop between providers every few months.

Tenure and revenue will get you what you want.

I've been on the same Bell contract for 5 years (but I'm only on month-to-month right now). I wonder if I can get a discount for being loyal :)

I am in Montreal and after chatting with Rogers customer service, the Apple Store here, a Rogers franchisee and here and Howard Forums it appears the best chance for my getting an iPhone 4 tomorrow via HUP is to go the Apple store.

The Rogers Franchisee said they are going to get very limited stock tomorrow and they are not going to do HUPS. He said Rogers Corporate would get a lot more but he felt that it is going to be really tight there too with supply. Speaking to the Apple Store here it seems they are getting in large quantities and I was advised they WILL be doing HUPS.

I am not prepared to line up at 3 am or thereabouts and am thinking of taking my chances between 9-12 am tomorrow.

Anything wrong with the above?

Rogers eligibility checker is working now......

WOOT, I'm eligible. What bugs me is that I called Rogers three times, the first time they said yes your eligible (spoke to 3 different people). The next time I called I got told no your on a BB you have to wait the 24 months or pay full price (I'm 19 months into my contract). Then I call again and get told I am eligible. Finally I check the upgrade tool and it says I'm eligible. Why oh why can't these carriers get it right. Over on RedBoard everyone who has a BB is being told they have to wait till the 2 yrs is up. It's such a mess an it doesn't have to be....they had plenty of time. Seriously I feel like ringing the CEO and telling him I could do a better job :p

ugh....I hate people in general.

I've called 2 different apple stores.....Fairview says that only the primary user on the rogers account (and not a level 1 auth user) will be able to do an upgrade tomorrow. Sherway gardens says that if I am an auth user on the account that I can do it without a problem.....who should I believe?

edit: just called square one and they said I could HUp as an auth user on the account as well......

for f's sake, the apple store that I will be going to is the only one that said the primary user needs to be present.

The fact that you guys are saying it's working frightens me that it's still showing me full price.

Since when does anything on the Rogers site work properly, especially on the first day they introduce it? I'm sure when I actually go to upgrade with an actual human being, they'll give me the right price.
