Here is what Waterfield stated to me about the sizing of the Personal and the new Portable Muzetto:

---------------------------------------------------------
The iPad on its own will very nicely fit into our Personal Size Muzetto. The iPad in our Suede Jacket will also fit well into the Personal Size. If you have a slightly larger case around your iPad then I would suggest the new slightly larger 10" Portable size Muzetto. Here's what I suggest for each of the cases that we make:

iPad naked - Personal Muzetto
iPad Suede Jacket - Personal Muzetto
iPad Slip Case - Personal or 10" Portable
iPad Smart Case - 10" Portable Muzetto
iPad Ultimate SleeveCase - 10" Portable Muzetto

The new 10" Portable Muzetto is slightly larger than the Personal size and will still have a very compact feel. The Shoulder Strap will have the same connection as the Personal size... vs. the D-ring version of the larger 13" Laptop size.
----------------------------------------------------

I have ordered both the Muzetto and the iPad Smart Case. I won't necessarily be using the Smart Case IN the Muzetto, but now that they're coming out with this new slightly larger Muzetto, wanted that option. I decided that it's probably a good idea to have a little extra room in there, regardless. I anticipate that more often than not I'd be using the iPad Smart Case when I'm carrying the iPad in a bag that is different from the Muzetto.

these accesories are cool. thanks :)

Ugh, I'm getting tired of going to these accessory sites and seeing "Coming Soon". It would be nice to have a at least a couple of accessory options at launch.

I realize that some of the accessories probably need the actual iPad for fitting purposes, but some of them seem like they should be able to craft them on the dimensions alone. Not sure what the hold up is, its not like there was a mystery that this was coming out soon.

The dimensions by itself won't help. Think about the curved back, they need to design the case to hold the ipad without slipping out of the case and at same time not make people fight to get it out. It has to be tight. They also have to be careful not to scratch the case if it's too tight (for the snap-ons type of cases).

So of all of these cases posted, will any of the ones made specifically for the ipad be available at launch?

I thought I remember even the first generation iphone having cases available at launch.

I am just waiting because I do not want to buy one and have it shipped, and then see some great case at the apple store on launch day (doubtful).

If anyone knows of one that will be available at launch, we should put that in the information on the first page.

I just want something with a keyboard stand. The Marewares appear to have that.

I hadn't looked at theirs - that has a variety of things i'd like in a case. Like the hand grip thing... except, it's probably not going to be sturdy enough for what i see using it for in that capacity either.

I'm thinking that i'm going to just see how it all plays out the next couple of months with some real world pictures/use.

I ordered a sleeve from booqbags.com today. Very nice looking, should be shipping out tomorrow and I should have it in time for launch.

So if anyone is looking for an ipad specific sleeve by launch day. booqbags.com has you covered.

Got a email today that the Ultimate SleeveCase from Waterfield (sfbags.com) will start production this week and I should get mine by the end of next week - before I get my iPad. I ordered priority mail 2-3 day shipping.

Concern about Happy Owl

Well, Twelevesouth is supposed to be offering a version of their BookBook case. Similar to the HappyOwl.

http://www.twelvesouth.com/products/bookbook/

Does anyone think we can actually put "keys, phone, or lipgloss" in the happy owl case, as their website suggests? It doesn't look like it to me... The 'folder' part looks like you could only fit a few pieces of paper in at most.

The concept is exactly something I would be interested in to take to meetings; however, I just don't see it from these pics.

Maybe I am looking at wrong?

I have the same questions about it. It is the best suited to my needs right now, but i will really need to see it in real use. There doesn't appear to be any expansion in the folio part at all.

My thoughts exactly, but boy, that's the best looking case I've seen so far - it's almost as lust inducing as the iPad itself imo. I hope they will ship to the UK and the price won't be too scary.

*Lust inducing* You're right...I'm a bag wh0re from way back and I can't help but stalk these cases/accessories. This one looks the best so far...but I really wish they would confirm that we can put "stuff" in the folders. I want pics!

LOL!!!

I have to say, i'm totally LOVING my Timbuk2 Netbook bag - even without the iPad to put in it! I'm ticked at myself that i didn't cave years ago and get myself one of their messengers. (and I can put files/papers in it, and I had my DSLR in it, and just tons of "stuff")

I was just being cheap. HA. Next up will be one that fits my laptop :D

But yes, MORE PICTURES of the happy owl case please!!!!! :D

Now that little baby is key-ute!

Now that little baby is key-ute!

Everywhere i go... everyone tries to steal it!!

I got the Lime version, and my 14yo daughter who normally hates my taste in items even likes it (she got the BORING black version). Go figure!

But it rocks in the holding stuff without being monstrous arena (and is waterproof which is kinda important here in FL coming into summer).

There are two iPad cases on hard graft

what was the price on that hardgraft case?

Both were 59 Euros, if you look back a page or two you will see the other one, which luckily I got my order in for. Same design as their Kindle one, but different size of course but will suit my muzetto more :p I reckon!

If you look at pictures of the 'wallet deluxe' which is the same thing as the clutch you can see that the pleats on the front of the case are meant to expand. So, I think you'd only be able to put keys etc in that pocket.

I LOVE the looks of the Happy Owl case and I can't wait to see real pictures of it. I'm pretty sure it is what I'll end up with.
