OK, good point there. I was talking about across the whole lineup, though. I guess there just isn't much you can do to make a big, boxy, SUV (CUV, crossover, whatever you wanna call it) look that different from each other. They did a decent job with the smaller models. The new Equinox looks nothing like the Caddy SRX. Of course, you could nominate the entire linup for GMC, since they are all rebadged Chevys. I mean, just look at the Silverado/Sierra, and the Tahoe/Yukon. They have different grills and uhh...not much else.

SRX and Equinox look different because they are different platforms. :p

The new Equinox rides on a modified/updated Theta I. The new blasphemous SRX rides on Theta-Epsilon. They did a good job though differentiating the Equinox/Terrain, IMHO. Equinox is more curvy/feminine while the Terrain is boxy, polarizing, and masculine.

GMC's has something unique about them that Chevy's don't, the Denali models. :p

I knew they were both on a Theta platform. I just thought it was the same one. I had no idea they were that different. Guess I actually did learn something new today. I suppose I need to brush up on my SUVs...err CUVs...err..crossovers. Screw it, they are all big, boxy, overgrown station wagons. I don't really see a problem with the new SRX. I think if it were a brand new model, people wouldn't have a problem with it. I think they really needed to shrink it, as the three row SUVs don't seem to sell all that well in that market, so I guess they decided to go after the Lexus RX customers. I do agree about the Equinox/Terrain, though. They did a good job establishing different styles and markets for them. Oddly, I've never really looked into what the difference is with the Denalis. I always thought it was a better interior and more bells and whistles. I know for a while, the Yukon Denali did have the bigger engine that the Tahoes didn't.

IMHO they did a dismal job. The fronts look like a bad combination between a Chrysler 300 and a Monte Carlo. Gag me.
I like 'em, as do a lot of reviewers, it seems. Everybody does has different tastes in styling, though. They did need to get away from the retro styling of the XJ, though. Jaguar has always had great designs, and they rode on that history for too long. I really liked the last XJ design, but they needed to break away from the retro stuff.

It did shrink a bit and is now a 2 row CUV, but why oh why did they take it off Sigma and put it on Theta-Epsilon? FWD in a Cadillac? GM just took away why the 1st generation SRX won C&D best luxury SUV 3 years in a row! Despite its wagonish looks and horrid interior, its wonderful driving dynamics made them name it the best luxury SUV for 3 years and come in 2nd place in 2007 beating the new X5!! But when they fix the interior and design, they muck with the driving dynamics and move it to a FWD platform! Sorry, Cadillac needs to stay exclusively RWD/AWD. Buick is Lexus's competitor, not Cadillac. That is why the new SRX is blasphemy.
