Not cheap but it's been worth it for me. I've got a lot of Knomo stuff and they stand up well to daily abuse.
Since my review on the page, I've got an iPad air2 plus the Logitech slim keyboard and eliminated paper again from my work routine. Very satisfying.

Just looked at it, super cool. Reminds me of my laptop bag with the grid-it system but much dressier. I think I need one, thank you for sharing!

To the posters who said about losing things in a handbag and using a pouch, I had terrible trouble until I bought a Knomo elektronista earlier this year. Goes most places with me, including on the meeting room desk and I can grab whatever is needed in two seconds. Highly recommended and looks great (I am a Knomo obsessive though).

Ooooooh Sweet and it comes in pink!!!! Thanks for the info. :)
The price isn't bad I have spent that on a Coach bag that may have less room.

My fiancee doesn't really care much about my Apple Watch. She does think it's prettier than my moto 360. Funny though that she's really anti-Apple and would not own anything Apple related, so she wouldn't be able to use the APple Watch because she does not own an iPhone.

That is amazing. Would be perfect for me if I were still at my old job. And it would only be good while at work.

Weekends I would still be back to carrying around backpacks and totes because I need a bag that's actually big and sloppy enough that I can fit at a moments notice just about anything my husband or the kids (and I'm talking about kids that are not my own in addition to my own) need me to carry for them.

I am called upon to shove into my backpack or handbag items as varied as jackets, extra pairs of socks, flip flops, water bottles, mouth guards, cheap toys won as prizes, husband's camera or iPad, literature from plays or sporting events, notebooks full of homework, half eaten baked goods wrapped in a napkin that a hopeful kid with big eyes is begging me to save for later. And once a betta fish in a sealed glass container. Oh yeah and a goldfish named Tomato. Don't worry I'm an experienced aquarist, the fish were fine.

For those of you that are Harry Potter fans, just think of me as Hermione Granger carrying camping gear and a small library in a magically enhanced carpetbag while on the hunt for Horcruxes with Harry and Ron.

It's no wonder I don't want to dive into that alternate universe looking for my iPhone and no wonder why I love love love my Apple Watch.

lol yes I have a Knomo tote but the husband has a rucksack and the kids are old enough now if they want to have that much stuff they have their own rucksacks :) I tried on a couple of watches at my local store today, the haptic feedback may be enough to sway me to purchase.

Honestly, it would be helpful if you just gave an honest apology. Because this is not that.

What you intended is irrelevant. You made a sexist post. It's great that you learned a little from it. It would be even better if you admitted to being wrong in the first place. And it would be absolutely fantastic if what you learned could change how you see the world, and the women in it, and in your life. Because we don't conform to stereotypes any more than you do, and no one should be subjected to them. We're all just people, more alike than we are different, irrelevant of gender.

The fact that we are on a forum/website about tech devices means we all, by default, have an intense interest in gadgets so the women on here aren't necessarily representative of the general female population. BUT, it's heartening that there are so many of us here. :D And as technology starts to affect everyday life (e.g., entertainment and home automation) more and more women who weren't that interested in tech will find a reason to be and will discover it's not as complicated as they had assumed, especially if they use Apple devices designed to get out of people's way.

I don't actually believe there's such a thing as being "representative of the general female population." Women are as varied as men, or as any other group that's identified by something other than common interests.

I recall a while back there was a post making the rounds on tumblr titled "I'm not like the other girls." It got reblogged over 300,000 times. The fact is that those "other girls" don't exist - women don't fit a perfect stereotype. They never have, even when forced into little boxes by society. But the myth persists, even among women, that an interest in tech or sports or cars or whatever makes one less female, or different from the other girls, when in fact we are all the same in that we are all "different."

Oh, I agree. Just saying that this forum is a concentrator for interests in tech. I've dealt with misperceptions of women all my life, including from other women. "What? You travel by yourself? Here, let me find you another single woman to sit with so you're not lonely." Me: "No thanks. How will I find a guy to have wild vacation sex with then? LOL!" And all those years of Chemical Engineering magazine addressed to "Mr." Mueller. So annoying.

My wife generally doesn't care what I spend my money on because I do a pretty good job managing our finances and I generally don't spend too much either. I plan out my purchases. This time the Apple Watch was a bit of a surprise as I found out my work will pay for most of it if I fill out some surveys, have a fitness exam and set and achieve certain fitness goals. Basically having healthier employees means they get cheaper insurance rates in subsequent years so it's worth it to pay out.

As for her thoughts about the watch itself, she's not much of an early adopter. She was using an old Dell Inspiron for a long time, then we shared an iPad for a little while (I have my own Mac so I didn't mind), and now she has my old Mini 2 and loves it. She also still has an iPhone 5 because she "doesn't want those big new iPhones." When it comes to the watch she thinks it's overpriced and doesn't care much for the colors the sport model bands come in. She really wants a green that isn't so yellow or a purple. Like me she's also kinda worried about scratching the cheaper sports model's screen. She just doesn't seem comfortable wearing something that expensive and having to baby it. She said she might consider one in the future if they were cheaper, didn't have to charge as often or had greater health benefits. Right now she's trying to decide which fitness tracker band to purchase. Through my work's healthy living stuff I can get a rebate of $80 off an already reduced price FitBit but the Charge HR that she wants is out of stock at the locations that we can get rebates through.

If you are concerned about the screen, how about getting a screen protector? And I've had my sports watch for just about a month, and I don't feel like I have to baby it, I just wear it like I did any regular watch. I do plan on putting on a screen protector -- just found one at BestBuy, but haven't had time to put it on yet. :(

As for health benefits, it's working out a lot better than I anticipated. There is a thread about how addictive the activity app is, and the lengths people go to fill up the activity circles. I haven't tried any other fitness tracking device, so I don't know if they (and their apps) have the same effect, but Apple sure got the Activity app right, IMO.

Well I think she's more interested in some of the advanced sensors that are rumored for future versions. Things that can actually monitor different health metrics would be worth paying for. She's already in pretty good shape. She gets up and runs at 5:30am a few times per week. Much different than me! I'm looking forward to the motivation of the Watch and App. Hah, I've already been more motivated lately to be more healthy in anticipation.

My lady generally thinks my hobbies are cool (except she doesn't get film really). She likes Apple products and uses a Macbook and iPhone. She hasn't really expressed interest in the Watch. Shes very frugal tho.

Has she seen the green in person? It's much less yellow than it looks online. It's Seahawks green (I would have returned it if it weren't for that), which is pretty similar to kermit the frog.

I don't know if she looked when I had my try-on, but this range is approximately what she usually likes since she is fair skinned:

I know there's been rumors about Apple adding more health sensors, but I have a hard time imagining what else could reasonably be worked into a device the size of a watch.

I do agree that Apple watch is most useful for those of us needing a nudge to get more active -- both me and my mom have been walking a lot more since we got our watches. It may not be so useful for those who are already active, so maybe it's right for your wife to sit out this generation.
