MAN- YOU GUYS DON'T KNOW FONTS!
Well at first I suspected it was Apple Garamond, but it is in fact Gil Sans. Nearly everything Apple's titles are are Apple Garamond. It would make me now think it is for sure a plaque and not a book.
Apple uses Apple Garamond on just about everything, including the titles on the website. The font was specifically designed for Apple and is a slightly modified version of Adobe's Garamond.
The nice thing about Apple's Font, is that it has probably close to a thousand more kerning pairs than the average font so when you bring the letters really close together, they look really nice.
I've had the font for nearly 8 years now when an advertising agency brought the font over to me for doing some print work at a print shop I worked at. the funny thing is, is that the piece was on Apple security talking about how to make sure that people don't get ahold of Apple's proprietary stuff, and I have had the font ever since.
Now the font is burried somewhere on Apple's FTP server, can't remember where.
