Just walked into a Three store and they gave me a nano sim and adapter pack, no questions asked. Nothing to pay either.
You may have gotten one but according to several calls to Three including one an hour ago, you got one by mistake and they DO NOT plan prepaid sims anytime soon. I checked because I am going to be in Europe starting in UK with I hope an unlocked Sprint iphone in a couple of weeks.

I do not think the top post shoudl have a confirmation of Trhee prepaid nana when several have checked in stores, and many by phone, and all but one person was told not in in near future

Sorry, I should have mentioned I am a contract customer, I didn't realise they were being funny with SIM cards for pre-pay customers. Kinda petty really.

From what I hear people are cutting down micro-SIMs successfully though

How much stock do T-Mobile have, I'm still waiting for UPS to deliver my phone so I can't even get into town yet to pick a SIM up.

I was in a similar position till an hour or so ago. Took delivery of my phone and drove into town to get a nano sim. I rang one of my local stores (Leicester) earlier to try and reserve a nano sim just in case but he said they can't keep any back but they do have 'quite a few' in stock. I guess it'll vary from store to store but I wouldn't panic!

The charge is £10 (grumble) for the swap and my old sim deactivated within 10 mins or so.
Oh and you don't get an adapter in the pack either!

PAYG Three (Mini SIM)

Hey everyone,my first post in MR.

So, I am on PAYG with Three , there is no option for me to do any kind of contract with any UK provider ( UK resident the past 4 years but some BS with my credit/debit cards issued outside the UK - whatever) and I have a mini SIM card.

Before I start shooting Three employees over in my local store :p do we know for sure that Three will not be providing nano sims for PAYG customers? If that's the case does it mean that my only option is to cut my mini sim? Does this actually work?

Oh and if someone could volunteer helping me cut it that would be great :p I am left handed n all so naturally i am useless when it comes to dexterity issues lol

Got to go down there tomorrow, phone didn't arrive until 5pm and the store shut at 5.30pm and it would take me 40mins to get there. So annoyed, now have a new phone I can't use as I can't activate it. All because T-Mobile wouldn't get their act together like other networks.

They better have some tomorrow morning or I will be really annoyed. I tried cutting my Microsim down to nano size but it doesn't work despite it looking fine and matching the template. So I can't use my 4S for calls either.

Ok now I am freaking out neighbor :D .It seems some people had success with cutting their sims down to nano size.Did you try sanding off the back?

Just thought Id add some info on my sim swap; normal to nano. Went into the Apple Store to pick up my reserved iPhone 5 and the lad there told me that it would be quicker to pop to three and get it swapped. Unfortunately, the systems were having trouble so I went back to Apple to get a "Sim Swap" (yes, they can swap your sim!). Nice lady there brought out a nano sim from the stock room and phoned up 3. They needed me to confirm my DOB and address and the phone call was then returned to the lady. A few minutes later she handed over a nano sim and said my number and contract would be moved to the nano sim in less than 24 hours and that it is normally much faster.
Kindly said goodbye and 1 hour later my 3GS (with the normal SIM) randomly lost signal. Popped the nano sim into my 5 and it was up and running!
Have to say, Apple and 3 have done a good job serving me! iPhone (black) was also pristine!

Charging £10 is just daylight robbery.

Glad I'm with 02 who haven't charged me one penny for the 3 times I've performed a sim swap.
