5. We ARE NOT appeasing customers with free bumpers -- DON'T promise a free bumper to customers.
so what process did you go through for the yellow spot issue? cause my wifes phone had a yellow spot when we first got it then the next day it went away. then today she noticed there is another spot on there again now. from what i was reading it was supposedly because of the glue under the screen or something it needed to finish adhering or something because they made these so fast and sent them so fast customers but if thats the case i dont get why its back now after it went away. shoudl i just make an appointment at genius bar ( 10 min from the crib ) or should i call apple? thanks in advance![]()

ya i havent gotten a shipped email either. i check the link they sent me for both my wife and i's and it still says not yet shipped and my black one will be shipped in 5-7 days and her white one by the 16th. what color did you dad get? hopefully we will get a shipped email or update soon. especially since i called and got everything going on friday the 25th. if you called the 27th that doesent seem right that they already shipped it out. are you sure its not a conformation email that the case is processed?

They gave you a link? I never got a link after my call yesterday (which was a little more than 24 hours ago) The only thing they e-mailed me was a "Thank you for contacting Apple" e-mail. Can anyone tell me EVERYTHING that happened and how long it took for every step after they told you they were sending you a free bumper?
Corporate Customer Care Administration sent me a link today as well letting me know I can check the link for the carrier and tracking number once the bumper is sent...I received this email today (actually two emails from them. One to let me now they were confirming that they are sending me the bumper and one to actually say it has been ordered with a link to the order status, carrier information/tracking number)
When did you talk to them on the phone? And I didn't even get an e-mail saying they were going to send me the bumper yet...I'm getting worried.
I had problems this past weekend and was on the phne a few hours with AppleCare Support ...I never got an email and I called today to tell them that I never heard from them after being told I would get one for my trouble (which was a PITA)...
I got a very nice L2 Supervisor who looked up my case number, saw that I was promised a bumper and said he will take care of it. Shortly after hanging up with him I received an email from Corporate Customer Care Administration confirming they are shipping me a white bumper and then another email informing me an order number had been generated and a link to the order status/carrier and tracking number when the product ships. The email went on to say that they will follow up to make sure I receive the bumper...
So just call the 1800 Apple Care # and ask to go to a supervisor? I don't have a case number or anything like that though...Should I just say something like "direct me to a supervisor" and then after I get with a supervisor, just say "I was promised a black bumper yesterday but never got an e-mail"?
It is going to be more difficult without a case number and a note that someone promised you one...it gives them an out and they have been directed not to give any more bumpers away...
I would call and ask for a Level Two Supervisor...tell the CSR that you want t speak to one about a CSR problem that you had...explain to the L2 that you had a problem, talked to CS, was promised a bumper for your trouble but never heard back from anyone and that is not cool...see what they say....
I called...asked to get to a supervisor, waited a while, got to a supervisor. He tried contacting the woman that said she would give me a bumper (I had her name) and he couldn't contact her. I gave him my cell phone number to contact me, or for her to contact me. I'm hoping for the best...

If she in fact admitted that she made the offer but now couldn't follow through, i would DEFINITELY call back and speak to a L2 and certainly let him know that promising to comp someone and then not following through is VERY poor business practice and they should be embarrassed...Well...the lady that I called yesterday called me back. She said she couldn't hold up with her offer...what a let down, seriously. She said she'd e-mail me about reception issues, I wasn't really paying attention, but I didn't want to be a dick and hang up so I just kept agreeing with it.
I DO lose bars, they fluctuate quite a lot, but I haven't really noticed any issues from the dropped bars..it's like they drop for show.
There goes a nice free case...son of a bitch.

Sure, I'll take that Mac Pro for $75, thank you very much.I called Apple Care and they offered me anything in the Apple Store around 75 dollars because I already bought the bumper. I ended up picking out the in-ear headphones; I'm sure no one will believe me, but figured I would share.
A permanent fix is on the way this Monday or Tuesday? Maybe 4.0.1 will fix the issue after all.Been on the phone with Apple and I never demanded a free bumper, I was offered. After a few transfers, and when it came down to authorizing the shipment the guy couldn't do it.
So I was transferred back to tech support and she said although a bumper would temporarily relieve the issue, stay tuned until Monday or Tuesday for a permanent fix, if not then call back.
I think that is fair, given them a chance to fix it before demanding something for free.![]()
