It just means that they have progressed far enough in the order/shipping progress to assign a serial number, it just means it is closer to arriving at your door. That iPhone is now yours!

I ordered an iPhone 6 16GB Gold on t-mobile ordered from apple and yes, still processing. Credit Card is just a hold, it hasn't been charged yet. Delivery date is 9/19 though. So who knows.

Same situation here. In store pick up. Still processing. CC charged today. Says ready for pick up on 9/19. Next notification should be "shipped to store" followed by email with "ready for pickup at (time)". Assume I won't see these notifications until Wednesday or Thursday.
 
I ordered via the Apple Store App on my iPad at 2:16AM PDT and 2:22AM PDT. I ordered an iPhone 6 Plus 64GB on AT&T in both Gray and Silver. My delivery times are October 1 - 6.

Has anyone else ordered this configuration after 2PDT/5PDT with a 9/19 delivery date?

Really hope this doesn't cause a delay in our promised 9/19 pickup date!

I was going to wait until the morning, but maybe I will now just cause I'm curious to see if they tell me what they told you. It was earlier today when it changed back - I looked this morning and it was preparing for shipment, then later in the afternoon it had changed back
 
Has anyone that has ordered a phone off the apple site received tracking? I feel like most of the people that received tracking on here bought their phone off carrier websites.

Im just curious. I bought mine off the apple store app at 3:30am. I got a 6+ 64gb in space grey for att.

My current status is "preparing for shipment" The money has been deducted out of my debit account. I also have about 5 purchase authorizations and then a purchase for the full amount. I should get it by 9/19 according to them.
 
Ordered at around 3:15am EST on 9/12/14 using the Apple Store app :D:D:D

I'm so excited! This is my first apple preorder! I've always ran a gen or two behind. Last year I got the 5 just months before the s was announced (I didn't realize)

At this point is it better to order from apple or the carrier?

In my experiences it's always been better to order straight from apple.
 
My FedEx tracking site said that it was estimated for delivery by 9/18 and I was quietly preparing myself to be super excited on Thursday.

Today, it changed back to 9/19. So much for no jinxing it.

I ordered mine from Verizon, 64GB White iPhone 6. Counting down the hours! :apple:

Two years ago I ordered from the Apple App, and got to track my phone all the way from Hong Kong, but this year, my first update says that its was in Pennsylvania, and today it said it was received in New Jersey. Headed to NY!

Let me know what they say... He recommended I call Verizon to see what the e-mail I received was about, but he said he turned my order upside down and couldn't find anything strange. He still couldn't account for the change in status, but of course mentioned that it should go back. I'm on hold with Verizon now :rolleyes:

Interesting. I made my order at 3:24 AM EST, the same model as y'all, and I'm still processing. Another phone I ordered under my Apple ID is preparing for shipment also, but MY specific phone is still processing. This is so annoying, if it doesn't move tomorrow, I'm gonna call Apple.

The $50 in taxes (since I did it on Next) are still processing at my bank.

Not sure why it would. They will get the phones to the stores in plenty of time. They usually wait to send the shipped to store and pickup time emails. If they charged your cc and still show a 9/19 pick up date, you're in good shape.

My tracking number through Verizon is FedEx. When I preordered the 5 through the Apple App 2 years ago it shipped UPS Express.

Best of luck! I will be playing the "will it arrive before I leave for work" game too!
 
They ship overnight. It doesn't matter what it says. It always changes - either faster or slower than some but they always arrive on the day due in.
 
I'm having mine shipped to work :) FedEx and ups always hit up the business addresses first. Mine is saying oct 1-7th :/ but I'm hoping it's a lie.
