Ok, so I called the apple online store back again today. First went thru sales, then on to customer service. I wanted to inquire the status of my order due to the fluctuation of dates. I was told that I was in the "second wave" of orders to be sent out.

I was really polite and just kept the conversation going eventually said that a few of my friends were in the same boat as me and 4 of them were offered a free case. She said she wasnt aware of anything like that and then she put me on hold for like 6 or 7 minutes. She finally said this is a one time thing I can do, i'll ship you a case free of charge. She asked me whether i wanted leather or silicone, I chose the leather in black for the 6 Plus.

The key is just to be polite.

Below is my updated order for proof..

9/19, End of the Day.... :(

I requested time off from work :)

Same thing for me. I have UPS worldwide express saver. It has departed zhengzhou china today. It probably wont get stateside until wednesday or so.

My UPS guy at work is going to try to get my package changed to his route.

Either way i'll be getting this phone on friday!

How did you guys make it show on UPS? Did you have to put in the destination country and zip too? Do I have to add the 1 before the area code on the shipment reference? Help! I can't wait to get a tracking number :D

Track by reference number on UPS (this for orders processed through the apple store)

enter your phone number in the reference field

Destination zip code and country

Yes, but if it's the same as previous years BOTH lines will be long. The pre-order line is shorter, however be prepared to wait a while as a lot of people have their phones activated in store rather than taking it home and setup on own.

Plus, I was told that this year (US Palo Alto store) they are required to activate all "personal pickup" iPhones in store. (I'd imagine this does not apply to tmobile no contract, but I didn't ask.)

They warned me to come early :( because pre-orders trickle in all day and things backup as the system gets swamped with activation requests. As OP said, it may not be that bad in your area, but in large cities probably best to keep expectations about the line in line.

Anyone in Canada have theirs shipped from Apple?

I ordered 12:40 on 9/12, card fully charged the next day, been in "Prepared for Shipping" since Saturday but no changes and can't find anything by reference numbers with UPS & FedEx like our American friends seem to be able to.

same here

^^^^^^ Another Canada -
I ordered around 6.30am on Friday EST, still in "Preparing For Shipment" since Saturday.

Estimated delivery - 19th to 23rd Sept.

I can't seeing it being delivered on Friday, with the free shipping option unless Apple the bump up the service. Hopefully Monday!

No references on FedEx.

It still doesn't show and I did order through Apple site. On their site it shows "preparing for Shipment".

Expected Time of Delivery

As it happens I had something delivered today from DELL. The driver says he is the one that handles the area. He says Friday they expect a very busy delivery day, I should expect my delivery from 3-6. If you are having delivered to a business you will probably get it first.

Question, has anyone ordered from Apple, and has found there tracking number by reverse/reference lookup AND has not seen there iPhone in supportprofile.apple.com?

I am trying to figure out which one happens first Shipping Label sent to carrier, or the product page adding your serial number.

Found my phone on MY.UPS using my phone number as reference number.

IPhone 6 128GB Space Gray AT&T GSM ordered 12:27 am PDT shipping from:

APPLE LO15 NPI
RIALTO, CA, US

I was expecting China.

Finally "Preparing for shipment", after checking the site 10 times a day for the past 2 days.. Hope I can get it Thursday. :)

This is a complete guess, but I think it would logically appear in your product page first. If the phone isn't in your product page, you don't have a phone assigned to you yet, you just have an order for one. Once you have a phone that is yours, it can then be sent off to you.

While waiting for our iPad 2s (awhile back) the entire forum was calling and being nice just to get smart covers lol

I have also been checking several times per day, and within the last hour or so, my status was changed to "Preparing for Shipment". Apple's order status still indicates a 9/19 standard ship date.

I just don't understand. Am I doing something wrong? My iPhone has shown on Apple as being preparing for shipment for two days and is schedule for the 19th. My card is charged. The phone shows up in my support profile. Every time I go to UPS and select reference, then enter in my number and information, I get nothing. The number is the same one apple has on file as well as AT&T.

How are you guys entering it in? 1, then the number, or just the number? All the number together? i've tried it multiple was and I get nothing.

my 6 16gb is on my support page so I officially have a phone! Still says preparing for shipment...and can't find tracking details. My computers/phones from apple normally comes from Fed Ex...so lets hope that continues.

My Verizon order status just changed from "We've received your order" to "Processing, check back tomorrow". All my emails said 9/19 so it looks like it is happening! So excited!

iPhone 6 Plus, 64GB, White/Silver, Verizon
Ordered 1AM Pacific Time 9/12
Processing 9/15
Delivery on Confirmation: 9/19
Southern California

My phone doesn't even show up on my support page

I don't think you are doing anything wrong, you just don't have a tracking number assigned yet. We ordered two at 5 minutes apart, yet the one ordered 2nd, has a serial number and tracking, and mine shows none of that yet. I think with the volume it just takes a little time. I am thinking maybe mine will be tomorrow.

But no, you just enter the area code and number all together (no 1) and another way is the order number, minus the last two digits, also works with most. If not coming up, you just don't have a tracking number assigned through UPS yet. And I think showing up on the support page and it showing the tracking on UPS, kind of go hand in hand. If one shows, it will usually show the other.
