it seems that all the iPhone 6 pluses are coming from china and the regular 6 is coming from the states.
I have a week 35 production phone, now I don't know about week 36 phones, but I think that what has happened is that the week 35's were shipped out prior to order, to areas like Harrisburg or other hubs, and those will be shipped the night before. The week 36's likely didn't have time to be shipped to these areas first, and are thus being sent directly from the factories, which is why some people see movement but others just have labels.
This is what I am thinking.
Last year a lot of people were not getting tracking numbers, and seeing a lot of others with tracking numbers with their phones in China. Only to find out that their phones were actually ahead of the game and already here in the U.S.A. and waiting to go to your local Hub.
Soooo, if you haven't gotten your tracking number yet, DON'T WORRY!
It's highly likely it's already here!

my regular 6 is MIA so it prob is a week 35 or 36 and from the states

if our phones are in that plane then we should get tracking update in the next couple hours!!

I actually think Apple won't send out tracking info until it hits this country and gets its first scan. Also many retail shops are behind in sending tracking info. Really not much to worry about. If you find your phone on your profile with Apple you should be golden. That's the key part if Apple has it in there system.
Week 35 phones are better than 36 phones. They were in the groove for Week 35. It was rutsville since then so 36-38, not so good. Week 32-34 was just warmup.

Which phone did you get? I ordered two 6s and I only got the invoice for one! Still no tracking info and my status is still at preparing for shipment!
Update: moments ago my phone's serial number is showing in the support profile. I still cannot find it on ups.

I ordered my iPhone 6 16 GB Space Grey ATT on Friday and the shipping info went into Preparing to Ship on Sunday, it hasn't changed since and it isn't showing up on my Apple Support Page or tracking by reference but the delivery date is still slated for 9/19. Do you think it will still get here on time? Has it even left China yet?

My 6 is just sitting at Fed Ex in Newark.. Has been there since Saturday!!! It says holding for shipment, so they are just waiting!! I hope I don't have to wait until Friday to get it when its already there. MADDENING!!
I understand your frustration, but you'll have to wait until Friday like everyone else. Apple has the shipping companies hold the packages until Friday for delivery. It's very rare for them to arrive early.
Agree, last time mine arrived in I think it was TN on a Monday and they did not ship it until Thu and sent it Next day air saver and got here Fri lol. They have this down to an art on the shipping part and mine have always been Fri regardless.
Ordered my 6 128gb on the Apple Store App shortly after it went live, got confirmation of order at 1:20 am and am at "Preparing for Shipment". Credit card hasn't been billed, no serial number or tracking and no invoice. Am in Canada.

Wondering why you think this. Clearly people are getting tracking numbers for phones that are leaving China and coming to North America. Even last year I was following mine all the way from China -> South Korea -> US -> Canada.
I think Guy is saying APPLE won't send it out. We are only tracking it because we have figured out the ref numbers. But really, I think it is more just because they are behind on the paperwork stuff and are very busy lol. I did not get my official tracking email from them last preorder until the day I received the phone (Friday) lol.
I don't know if its the best option. I found out that my UPS Customer Service Center doesn't open till 4pm for pickups !!!
Maybe yours is different.

If you got to page 28-35 of this forum someone posted a code that allows you to upgrade your UPS My Choice Premium for one year without giving your Credit Card info. I did that.
EDIT: If you look 3-6 posts after this posts, I wrote a tutorial on how to upgrade your MyChoice account.
