We're in week 38 right now if I'm not mistaken. It means your phone was made 2 weeks ago, essentially.
I'm nervous!
I ordered my iPhone 6 16 GB Space Grey ATT on Friday and the shipping info went into Preparing to Ship on Sunday, it hasn't changed since and it isn't showing up on my Apple Support Page or tracking by reference but the delivery date is still slated for 9/19. Do you think it will still get here on time? Has it even left China yet? I have a feeling i'll be sitting at home Friday waiting for a UPS guy to arrive that never will.

For those of you who have packages coming through UPS, and if you want to have your package held at the UPS Customer Service Center following these instructions.
I choose for mine to be held at the UPS Customer Service Center.
I already had a regular My Choice account, and these are the instructions I used for upgrading to premium.
Warning, I found out my customer service center was only open after 4pm for pickup. So make sure yours is open at an earlier time if you want to pick it up earlier.

- Go to http://www.ups.com/mychoice/
- Under the "Tracking Tab", click "Access UPS My Choice".
- Then on the top right of the table, click "Manage Delivery Addresses"
- There should be a "Upgrade to Premium" option.
- Apply the promo code on the bottom.
- Click next, and you should have UPS My Choice for 1 year for free.

My account was already upgraded to premium with that code and it still wouldn't allow me. UPS said that Apple was restricting delivery changes but clearly yours was able to be changed.
Apple is restricting the date (nothing before 9/19) but they do not restrict how you get it (delivery or pickup).
I switched to pickup because I live 5 minutes away from UPS so I can pickup at 930AM. My UPS guy always gets to my house after 4.

Its possible your iPhone 6 is already in the USA and doesn't need to fly from China. Mine has been sitting in Memphis (FedEx) since Saturday evening. I'm quite optimistic your 9/19 date will be fulfilled.

After some craze last Friday with everything being down, I was able to place my first of two orders through my iPad's app store app. The second went through a bit later, through my iPhone app store app. I received confirmations shortly after, pending charges (which later disappeared and haven't returned), and so far that's it. Below is the info for both my orders:

But did you actually get the tracking info from Apple in a email and saw it coming from china or did you get tracking ahead of apples email.
If our order left at 6:52 P.M. from ZhengZhou, China (or 3:52 A.M. PST)
~18 hours for the flight to USA
Our next shipping update will be when it lands in the United States around ~9:52 P.M. PST.

I believe I received it from Apple. Mind you, I was in the 7-10 business day group last year.

How are you sure of this? I, and a few others, have an 11pm scan departing zhengzhou on the 15th at 11pm and we haven't gotten any updates since that scan..
Just confused since I would think the sept 15th departures would be landing in AK now?
That was a total guess... and complete speculation.
