So just got off the phone with Apple order support, figured, what the hell. Free case would be spiffy.
Dude is nice, but obviously tired of answering the same questions all night.....tells me my order hasn't yet shipped....BUT, when I asked if all was well for delivery on Friday, he tells me that it should actually be here Thursday, because they use a special overnight shipping thing. I Kid you not.
Whatever dude. Oh and no offer of a case. Still, was worth a shot.

Called apple, also was able to get a leather case for free
Called apple, asked about the free case and no luck. Rep said it wasn't true...
Same for me (6 + 16GB Verizon). Thinking I may call Apple tomorrow just to check on things. Seems like 95% of people have either tracking info, their serial, or both.
On the subject of the free case, well, I think the free cases were supposed to be for people that had problems beyond the problem of having a few errors in ordering. It kind of closes down that avenue when everyone that ordered starts calling them for a free case. At some point they are going to rightfully say no. What is it like 10 million sold or something? What are they going to do, give 10 million cases and never say no?
I got a free case as well. I've seen several posts for people that ordered a 6 Plus 128GB SG AFTER me and are getting them Friday while I wait two weeks. They felt bad for me and coughed up the case without asking.

How is everyone finding the specific flight their phone is on? I've been on flightaware but no idea how to find the actual plane that is mine.
Mine has said "Departed from ZhengZhou" for almost 48 hours >.<

Im in the same boat. Mine left at 11:00PM yesterday (which is actually 11:00AM china time). Still no update.
My iphone has been "Preparing for shipment" for about 2-3 days now. Yesterday UPS was notified and I found my tracking number by searching my phone number. All day I looked at the UPS website and nothing has updated.. still for delivery on 9/19 though. Hope they don't screw me!
Let's hope there are thousands of them. I hate the wait but love to watch the process .
