Wow, just wow. So in addition to screwing your buyer, you also were willing to pony up some sage advice and for free?! You did all this for $50? You must be hard pressed.Yes. I guess so. I offered to walk over to the bank with her (1 block away) so she could get the money. She said she couldn't pay any more because she was a struggling student. I said to her since she is a "struggling student" maybe she should rethink buying the iPad 2 since its very expensive at the moment and just buy the original iPad. That is when she started crying.
I call ********. My guess is she was not an hour late and if she was, that had little to do with you nickel and diming her. Who cares if you have others contacting you. For $50 I cannot see screwing someone over. Then again, I'm a much better person than you will ever be.The girl didn't show up when she said she was going to and I wasn't about to turn down other offers. I actually tried calling her but she didn't answer. She was about 1 hr late. While I'm waiting for her I have all these other people contact me. If she showed up when she said she was going to, then I would have sold it to her. The reason why I insist on people meeting near me, is because in the past I have had several people not show up when they said they were buying something from me and that is when I was traveling to them.
SHE is nickel and diming you? Are you ****ing serious? You're the guy who f'ed her over for $50! You're unreal. The price of the iPad 2 won't be that much in 2 weeks. You would not have paid the $800, your first post makes that clear. On the other hand, my guess is if you're really willing to screw someone over for $50, paying $800 for that device is something you are likely incapable of. As for the whole idea of honoring her word, what word? That she would pay you $800? Your story is full of holes. It is a damn shame that people like you exist. I'm all for selling a hot item for a profit but I'm hardly a fan of people like you who will bail on a sale on account of $50.If I was the buyer I would have done the following:
1). Showed up on time after nickel and diming the seller to get a real good deal.
2). I probably would have paid the $800 since all other comparable listings for iPads were $850-$900.
3). Honored my word when I told the seller at initial contact that "the only reason I couldn't pay more is because I don't have time to go to the bank. ". The bank was only 1 block away and when the offer was made to go there then she suddenly didn't have the money.
The beauty of this is that you felt compelled to tell your story, although it's one big lie, online in some random internet forum. Do you feel super awesome now? I'm sure you were looking for some internet high fives; boy did that backfire.
Wow I don't think I've ever called anyone a scumbag on an internet forum before.
I have but I'm willing to bet I'd do it again given the right occasion.
