I bought a Sena Folio case for my MBA 13". It fits perfectly, covers and protects nicely while dressing it up (as if it needed dressing up). I am very pleased with the quality of the leather, color and stitching.

Another vote up here for the Thule Gauntlet; I just received it for for the MB Air 11in and it is very well made. Perfect fit too! Adds a good amount of protection without a lot of weight or bulk.

I just bought a Tech21 Impact Snap Case for my 13" MacBook Air (from the Covent Garden Apple Store in London).

It's a really nice product and fits the Mac excellently. I got the only colour available - black - and it makes my MacBook Air look reminiscent of the old black MacBooks
Hopefully the impact-absorbing material used by Tech21 inside the case will protect my MacBook from bumps and knocks.

But – it appears that this product doesn't exist…! I can't find it anywhere on the web - even Tech21's website - and Apple don't seem to list it in their online store. When my fiancée went to pay for it with her iPhone, EasyPay even had to use a generic, low-res Apple brown box image for the item…

Zipur, would love to ask you one or two things about your expeirence with the Burnoaa - please let me know somehow you saw the previous msg/this, and am on PM, thanks alot :))

I plan on getting this case for my wife, just wondering if anyone else has tried this case, its lined with memory foam, look great! She is gonna love it.

I got this for my 13" MBA, and I love it. It's sturdy and rigid enough to offer some protection, but very thin, so does not add bulk. The MBA fits very snugly, and I can put it in a tote or other bag to carry around, and not worry about scratches, dings, etc. Very well made with a very soft interior. No zippers or metal to scratch. Closes with velcro that seems to be strong enough to last for some time.

Isn't that the one for the Macbook Pro?

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the Booq Mamba Slim for my MBA 13", I'll update with my thoughts on it in case anyone is interested.

Also FYI to anyone considering a Booq bag, if you also buy a iPad/MacBook case/sleeve and use the promo code AR14 they knock off $40. I got the mamba sleeve that was $35 so I basically got a free sleeve and a $5 discount on the bag (Got free shipping too, since the sleeve bumped the before discount total over $100).

Hey, your thoughts on Mamba Slim? How much space is there after a 13" MBA and iPad Air? Can a big novel be kept?

I'm considering Mamba Slim and Mamba Daypack - the backpack http://www.booqbags.com/us/backpacks/mamba-daypack/MDP-BLK. Haven't decided yet

13 in macbook air case/cover prtoect from dents, scratches

For fear of being told not to start a new thread, I will try and ask here, I am looking for a good cover for my new 2012 13 in macbook air, not a carry case or sleeve, but an actual cover to protect from scratches and dents.

Something that will not add too much bulk to the computer.

I recently got the "iPad Zero" bag from Rickshaw.

Not only does it hold my iPad, but it also fits my 13" Air (barely).

I'll post some pictures later.

Did you ever post pics, if so, I missed them? Could you post a link to the pics or post them if you forgot? Thanks.

Hello guys,

would you recommend any sleeve/case and/or bag from Apple Store? I have a 70$ gift card that I would like to use.

What I'm looking for:
- a sleeve/case that protects my Macbook Air 13'' against scratches and most impacts (I won't be throwing my Macbook against the walls, but accidents happen). I am very careful but I'd like to have some peace of mind, mainly when using my Macbook away (e.g. at university). Maybe this one?
- a bag to put and transport my Macbook Air 13'', as well as my university stuff (books, papers, etc.). It'd be nice if the bag had some sort of physical separator to separate the Macbook from the other stuff.

If I had to choose, I'd rather buy a sleeve/case from the Apple Store and a bag in a physical store. But I'd like to hear your suggestions :)

Thanks in advance!

I would advise against a shell they crack can be a pain to install and remove and look bad IMHO. Here's a nice sleeve.

As for a backpack have a look at Dakine, Timbuk2, Thule or Oakley they all make nice quality bags have decent warranty and most have a separate sleeve for your computer.

I am using the Timbuk2 Especial tres. Great waterproof cycling sack.

Hey,

thanks for your answer! That's a nice suggestion. I really like the Thule 13'' Sleeve, but is it good at protecting the Macbook against impact? As I said, I'm careful, as most people are, but accidents may happen and I'd really like to have an extra layer of protection.

I also like the Acme Made Skinny Sleeve which is available in the Portuguese Apple Store, and specially the Brenthaven BX2 Sleeve, which is also available in the Portuguese Apple Store.

Since I'm buying from Portugal, that's the store I'll be using, unfortunately these sleeves do not seem to be available in the US store so I can share the links in English.

Would the Thule still be the best choice?

Thanks in advance

The brenthaven looks good these sleeve should all over decent protection. I never used a sleeve with my MBA.

I just got the Thule sleeve and my MBA fits perfectly Love having the pocket for my iPad Mini as well. Seems to be built well with good materials. Not flashy but not bland. Keep in mind, I have only had it 2 days, but so far so good.

I have an amCase neoprene case that I've had for quite some time. My macbook air fits really well in it, and the material is a lot more durable than you would think. I'm really pleased with it, and the price is really reasonable for what it is. :D

Having a hard time finding a zipped sleeve for 13" MBA with extra cushioning for the device's corners? I don't want to apply anything to the laptop itself. I don't want a big, bulky bag or anything with handles. Just a simple, compact zipped pouch for protective storage. Thanks!!
