Does anyone have one of these? It looks pretty nice for the price. Link: http://www.amazon.com/GMYLE-Premium...592125&sr=8-5&keywords=macbook+air+11+leather

I have the same dilemma, worried about magnets getting near my Macbook Air. But then I realized, they're not strong enough to damage the components.

The magnets are in the top flap, metal imbedded in the sleeve keeps magnets from direct contact to the MacBook Air. You are correct these are very weak magnets that are not strong enough to damage components.

So far, so good, I'll follow up in 3 years after my warranty expires to follow up. :)

...as I accidentally bumped my "Magnetic" power cord attached to my MacBook Air LOL

The Bag: The ORTLIEB IN-TOWN (BLACK)

The Ortlieb IN-TOWN is a waterproof briefcase that easily accommodates your everyday digital and offline essentials, e.g. large files and a 13.3" or 15.4" laptop. It features an internal organizer with two zippered and sleeve pockets. A broad, padded, adjustable and detachable shoulder strap provides both comfort and utility even with a fully packed briefcase.

I was so impressed with the Ortlieb pannier bike bags, that I decided for something truly waterproof, this was the only logical choice. Living in the Pacific Northwest, a waterproof bag is essential. I decided I didn't want another bookbag, so this Ortlieb In-Town messenger/briefcase is ideal.

ORTLIEB products are Made in Germany. Therefore, 90% of all processes are run inhouse at ORTLIEB in Heilsbronn. This has been their way for nearly 30 years.

On order, awaiting delivery.

This fine made German work of art is an awesome bag!

Love it!

I got this for my 13" MBA, and I love it. It's sturdy and rigid enough to offer some protection, but very thin, so does not add bulk. The MBA fits very snugly, and I can put it in a tote or other bag to carry around, and not worry about scratches, dings, etc. Very well made with a very soft interior. No zippers or metal to scratch. Closes with velcro that seems to be strong enough to last for some time.

I am looking for some advice that I'm hoping someone in a similar position can offer:

My current Air is my first Air (previously had MBPs), but despite having it for months, I still haven't decided on a sleeve for it yet. My main issue is concerns with the sleeve's ability to protect the Air from denting, but without adding significant bulk/weight, and thus making one of the advantages of the Air moot. Although dents would bother me on a personal level, I do plan on selling this in 2 years time, so the physical condition of the laptop is important to me in that respect.

I've used Waterfield sleeves in the past, and I loved them, but they did add noticeable bulk/weight to the computer, which wasn't a big deal I suppose for those laptops. Are my concerns over denting unwarranted? Should I just bite the bullet and get a more protective case? If it helps, while I don't baby my laptop when it's traveling in bags, I also don't mistreat them either. I also understand that certain accidents would cause enough force to physically damage the laptop almost regardless of what type of sleeve I use, and I'm not concerned about those scenarios. Thanks for any input.

I ordered an Incase 11" Pathway Slip Sleeve from Apple when I bought my 11" MBA.
Fits nicely and what I really like about it is it has no zippers, snaps, etc., which might potentially scratch the MacBook Air when sliding it in or out of the case (uses Velcro closure).

Not a fan of Velcro, in fact I would buy anything but Velcro.

Booq Sale

Heads up for anyone looking to buy a Booq bag. They have a promo code right now "Ultra13" that allows you to get a free iPhone or iPad case with your order. I noticed it when I added my bag to the cart.

I just ordered the Viper Courier Grey ($99.95) and the Coffee-Cream Leather Boqpad ($99.95) for a total of $99.95. The code took off the entire price of the Booqpad. Awesome deal. You could even resell the iPad case if you dont want it or own one and essentially get the MBA bag free.

:)

Designer cases

Hi there,
Can anyone recommend any high end cases for the 11" MacBook air? Mulberry do some great ones but I haven't seen one in 11" (same goes for other brands like Burberry, Smythson, Prada etc).
Appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks:)

Hello everyone, does anyone know if the CaseCrown Neoprene Sleeve fit the 13" MBA with a Moshi iGlaze case? The Incase Neoprene Sleeve that i bought last week came in today, but it fit a little tight with the Moshi case on so i'm looking to return back and try CaseCrown sleeve next. So if anyone has the CaseCrown sleeve with the Moshi case, please let me know! Thanks in advance!

The MacBook Air bags sleeve & cases thread

I bought the Sena folio case in black leather from Macfixit when it was on special ($50 off), recently. Very pleased with it , already had backpack to transport the Air, just wanted a cover to protect it, which this case does and looks very nice as well.

So happy with my new case that I bought from secondshells :)

Im the new owner of my first mac air 13 inch and im very happy with it. Yesterday I ordered the Knomo Tokyo 15 inch Brief. You would think why 15 inch?? Because the bags look so nice and every day when ill go to school I take 2 bottles water, bread, mac air, books, adapter so I need some space. But its a expensive bag 120€.

But I was looking today around for maybe a better bag and a little cheaper  and i came out on this one http://www.targus.com/uk/product_details.asp?sku=TBT236EU .

What do you guys think that the knomo is to big for my mac air? I doubt that my mac air will have to much space to move..

(Sorry for my english..)
