Managed to make some changes to get Aguero into my team. Hopefully I haven't missed the boat with him...

Delighted to see they'll be giving me my wildcard back after the Saturday's mess.

Managed to get Aguero in up front, looks like he might be quite handy.

As the dust settles after a madcap weekend (more so for what went on with the FPL site rather than on the pitches), let's take a look at the standings...

Early days yet of course, so hopefully none of us will face the wrath of our chairmen if our current position is a bit disappointing. ;)

Just a reminder – as timsutcliffe just mentioned the FPL site is in full kiss-and-make up mode so we all essentially have been given an extra wildcard, playable this week only. That means that we can each make as many changes as we like to our side without penalty. So, if you've been hit by injury or suspension in the first week, feel the balance of your side isn't quite right or are one of the 99% of players currently wanting to rearrange things to accommodate Aguero you have a chance to change things.

A further reminder too that folk can still enter up until the end of the month, so if you've just chanced upon this thread and fancy taking part there's still time to do so.

Trying to resist the temptation to jump on the Aguero bandwagon...unless I can somehow get him without ditching Suarez up top....that would probably mean drafting in the whole QPR defense to free up money.

pm'd you Jaffa, missed last week but i think i can make up the points over the weeks :D
PM'd right back at ya. ;)

It'll be interesting to see how the interest in Aguero spikes this week, he looks to be a very popular bandwagon...

I'm a fairly weak fantasy manager because I'm not active enough in changing out the team to match the form of the players. It will be interesting to see how Aguero does this week - if he has a stinker will everyone dump him or hold on to him on the assumption that he's sure to come good?

The thing is, with the free transfer deadline being extended it gives people much more opportunity to include Aguero – or indeed any other player who had a good opening week.

Normally you'd have to either sacrifice another big name player, or swap around your squad and in the process take a points hit or play your wildcard – but on this occasion people can freely swap out players to free up funds.

True, though the fantasy football site is blocked at my office, so I'll have to wait six hours to make changes - if the deadline hasn't gone by then. Procrastination rears it's ugly head once again! If I were a real manager I'd miss those last minute transfer deadlines every time.

I've deliberately not picked him. No, honest! You can't win with the same player as everybody else. So it will either be my downfall or he'll get injured and I'll have an evil Bond villain laugh while stroking a cat mwahahahaha. [/tangent]

I'm banking on Suarez at the moment myself...here's hoping Sergio misses a penalty and gets sent off this week. :D

My thoughts, too. I've gone with Saha upfront and as the Captain. A huge gamble early, but it could really payoff.

If Aguero does carry on his first match form, the difference between those who have selected him will be in the supporting players they have in their teams...

I've included him, but the Cores armband has gone elsewhere. ;)

Can we have another update please? :D

I intend to gloat while I can, once the transfer window closes so do my transfers.

De Laet, cheap defender getting me 11 points where as Aguero as my captain only manages 4 (with the double up)

I'm afraid things aren't going as well for you as you might like to think. As a MacRumors God you are – correct me if I'm wrong – an Admin here. And as you're in Administration, I'll have to hit you with a points deduction. :p ;)

Keep your form up another week though and you're in with a good chance of the opening MacRumors Manager of the Month award...
