wooohoooo! fitting RvP back into my squad + captaining him right away..best decision since months :D

Way to excuse lazy managing style! What I see is a lack of motivation...:p

But whatever, vanTastic gameweek, made some incredible intelligent transfer moves to smash any possible opponent in GW 36, yet really not sure if I survive the 35th..

I even went to the lengths of putting a couple of quid on van Persie to score, in the hopes that it would nullify his scoring abilities. Even that didn't work for once! :p

On the plus side, I won my bet but I'll now have to spend my winnings on a new set of ribbons for the trophy. But what colour?

I hate to gloat, buuuuut.......... :D

What a fantabulously super gameweek for the Mopheads!

Your welcome. I did wish you good luck tho, didn't I? :D

I pity the Tall Saints, though. Would it have been for Rooney...don't want to think about it actually. They now have to beat me by ~60 points..I feel like dancing in the streets :D

Righto then – here's the Cup results from the weekend...

Sporting Dual-Cores 44 - 41 Woodingtonhampshire
Horizon Heights 35 - 63 Omaha Latics
Elisbury Hill 56 - 65 Neutron Heath
The Stoplights 44 - 75 Pachyderm FC
Tall Saints 40 - 75 T!llionaire Toyshire
Argy-Bargy 49 - 47 Brainerd FC
LITH United 77 - 36 Pinstripe City
Mancunian Mopheads 87 - 62 Hardly Athletic
Thigh High Socks 49 - 55 Fizzy's Flyers

All of which leaves the table looking like this...

As you can see, we've had a further three teams qualify for the knock-out stages, so congratulations to andalusia, Tilpots and MattAtlanta whose teams have all made the cut – Mancunian Mopheads, The Stoplights and Argy-Bargy can all look forward to the draw to see who they'll be facing.

There are still two spots up for grabs however, and three teams are still in with a chance of claiming them. T!llionaire Toyshire and Pachyderm FC currently occupy 7th and 8th place but there is a chance that – should they lose and Tall Saints pick up a big enough win – phil.black's boys could yet sneak in. twietee and pachyderm can't afford to let their concentration slip as we head into the final decisive Gameweek of the regular Cup season.

Here are our fixtures...

Horizon Heights v Sporting Dual-Cores
Elisbury Hill v Woodingtonhampshire
The Stoplights v Omaha Latics
Tall Saints v Neutron Heath
Argy-Bargy v Pachyderm FC
LITH United v T!llionaire Toyshire
Mancunian Mopheads v Brainerd FC
Thigh High Socks v Pinstripe City
Fizzy's Flyers v Hardly Athletic

...good luck everyone!

Tell them to stay as long as they wish. No rush getting back for GW36. Reeeelaaaaxxx.

They will be back to play Tall Saints, it's just they may not be in a fit state; last time the keeper didn't stop a thing - spent most of the match miming both parts of Henry IV, followed by a stab at Henry V - and the striker had a kip in the centre circle.

Time to take a look at the League standings.

Here's the table after Gameweek 35...

With no further matches to be played in the four or so hours left in April, I reckon we're pretty safe to hand out the MacRumors Manager of the Month award. And for April our congratulations go to 2020Mike, whose LITH United picked up an unrivalled 251 points during the last 30 days.

Well done, 2020Mike. :)

But congratulations are also in order for our final two Cup qualifiers. T!llionaire Toyshire and Pachyderm FC have made their way into the draw for next week's quarter-finals, so yay for their respective gaffers twietee and pachyderm.

As mentioned, once the draw is made I'll post up who is playing who.
