Really enjoying my xs max. I just hope the oled screen will last as long as my old 4.5-year-old 6 plus that I was coming from. Other than the potential concern for the longevity of the screen, it's a terrific phone.

Nobody really cares. Buy what device works for you and be happy. Life is far too short to be miserable.

Sell your Max and go buy one of those $250 Straight Talk devices that you like so much.
Seems many care, in in dismissing the OP's complaint.

Because maybe it isn't really true, across the board, the max "is a mess"? Granted there seems to be antennagate 2 happening, but not everybody is experiencing the same issue.

So the ops complaints, at least I hope op gets it resolved. But the max is not a mess.

Thats been my experiences as well....in fact I like my Xs Max so well i might not upgrade this year! That is saying allot as I have had every iphone released to date.

I hope the OP gets resolution for his issues......

I don’t have a Max but I can say my XS was an absolute mess too. Problems with LTE and WiFi, VPN service dropouts (never had them on my X), continuous stream of “password required” prompts for my Google account out of nowhere that wouldn’t accept my password, 10-15 second lockups in Settings, etc. etc.

I went to Apple yesterday and they gave me a white box replacement. So far so good on this one. Seems like there was a bad batch released early on, although I waited a couple of months to upgrade.

Edited to add: I am having an issue with my Amazon app now though. Thing straight up refuses to load anything. Anybody else having Amazon issues?

Enjoying my max also. All the qualms about size, weight and oled disappeared. It is heavy and for the most part requires two handed operation.

I love your posts because even though you have criticized me, you always post honestly lol. I love that about you.
[doublepost=1549817183][/doublepost]The XS Max is my favorite iPhone but yes...it requires 2 handed operation, you can't get away from that with it!

Done and done.

Strange. I’m not sure why you would be experiencing instability with the app. I tried it on mine, and I’m not having any issues. Try using the app on LTE, if you are using Wi-Fi already. If it’s still not loading, then it must be an intermittent server problem with Amazons connection.

I have the Note 9 and the XS Max. The Note is the European Exynos version as I live in Sweden. I wonder if the signal issues with the XS is connected to American service providers. My XS is constantly having better signal and better speed on LTE network and WiFi than my Note. And many colleagues at work has the same experience, no problems at all with speed or signal and most came from android flagships and are now using XS and XS Max. At home I am getting 200 Mbit/s down on LTE on XS and 130 with the Note 9 so for me the XS Max is flawless. And the battery kills the Note, I mostly enjoy the Note because the pen is nice but that is about it.

Yeah it's really strange. I've tried it on LTE and Wifi with VPN disabled and enabled.

After reading some of your post history, I’d say you seem to have an abnormal amout of issues with your devices... Seems like you have found the answer to your problems, sell your MaxXS and purchase a device that suits you better..

You seem to enjoy reading other’s history. Is it that fun?

I’ve been a fan boy since the 4 hit verizon (sorry ATT wasn’t in my state when it was an exclusive prior to then) and by in large I have defended, enjoyed, and purchased APPLE since then. The MAX series is a **** show. .

Here's what I noticed is different between my previous iPhone X and current iPhone XsMax:

The XsMax has a bigger screen.

I got my MAX on launch day. L O V E I T

I have had even iPhone since the very first one. This is the best ever.

I'm sorry if the OP does not like his MAX, but the fact is, most people love them.

The MAX series is a **** show. IOS 12 is the same. 12.1.1 was stable and life was great, after that it’s been a nightmare. They break more than they can fix. I sit next to my friends running a NOTE or any other device in my basement and the internet speeds are a Joke between my $1,300 device and in some case their 250 walmart straight talk device..... it’s laughable.... not only is price of product and the masses waking up going to hurt apple the whole XS launch is a disaster and the IOS 12 has been a mess.... annual upgrade of 5 here... seriously contemplating moving to android and that PAINS ME DEEPLY... we havent had decent working phones for three months.... I mean come on...

Just go G3T Str@1ghT to da point.
You are so disappointed because the fact that Even the Biggest iPhone XS Max 4GB Ram wont support Split View? You also think its Strange that even iPad Mini 2 from 2013 that has only 1GB Ram supports Multi Tasking Much Better like Slide Over. You can open both Youtube and Safari at the right via Slide Over.. Hahahah even sometimes my iPhone XS Max can Refresh by switching from youtube to safari lol..
