No kidding. He was a fantastic player and one of my favorites in the 80s, though he wasn't quite as good for as long as Henderson, and he did have the cocaine thing hanging over his head in the mid-80s. He needs to be in the Hall.
As for the Braves versus the Marlins: they made the playoffs despite season-ending injuries to some of their best hitters, plus they added Dan Uggla. Should be a good race in the NL East but I still see the Braves just shading it.
I wonder how that field is going to look come spring.And back to baseball Yankee Stadium goes.
It should look like it did back in 2009 Opening Day because they are resodding the whole thing.

CC and Hughes is all we got. If Burnett can bounce back, then we will have a decent rotation.
Obviously you've underestimated our newest minor league signees: Bartolo Colon and Freddy Garcia...What you meant to say is see you in 1995.
We'll have to rely on our offense pounding starting pitching, and our bullpen picking up the slack of the weak end of the rotation.
I'm sad that Pettitte's retiring this year, but I think we're gonna be okay. I'm hoping AJ will have a comeback year after the disaster that was 2010. The Bullpen is gonna be killer this year. Plus, you can NEVER count out the Yankee offense. I think we're gonna be fine.

It really is no surprise that Pettitte decided to retire, he has been talking about it for the past 3 years. Just about everyone knew that he was leaning towards it this year. Honestly I would have been shocked if he decided to pitch.
The Yankees have a deep minor league system now and there are 2 ace pitchers that are coming up and might be ready in about a year.

He was coming back as of two weeks ago. But, then changed his mind.
Anyway, he should go into the HOF. He won't be first ballot, but he should get in.
I think Milwaukee better sign weeks and round out this great off-season
