UGH FOX Sucks So today The Decided to show Cards/Brewers where I was and since its Nationally blacked out I could not watch it on MLB.Tv this is why i hate National blackouts and I think they should be Banned it screws over fans who pay extra $$ to see there teams when they are not in the same region.

Wow. That's hard to read.

You can't judge a guy in just one start. He's been one of the top 5 winningest pitchers over the past 4 seasons so I'd say he's pretty good. I do think Lester is the best pitcher on the team though. He has the potential to win the Cy Young within the next couple of years. But overall the Sox pitching looks really solid for the next few years.

Oh and as for the time of the games, it's all the players fault. They screw around and step out of the batters box and call a million time outs and pitchers take forever to throw each pitch. Stop ****ing around and throw a pitch every 20 seconds. Taking a minute in between each pitch is ridiculous and is the reason these games take forever.
Beckett didn't look like he wanted to be there that first game, he gave up on trying.

As for the speed of the games, just call the strike zone properly and force hitters to swing and borderline pitches.

Maybe it's an Android thing, maybe it's an MLB thing, but has anyone else noticed a pretty long delay between real time and the audio on the MLB app?

I work in downtown St. Louis near Busch Stadium and noticed it this afternoon while walking from work to my car and listening to the Cardinals game on my phone. On the streaming, Schumaker was up to bat (#1 spot) and then I saw and heard fireworks at Busch Stadium, which they do when someone its a home run. And I continued listening, and eventually it came to the spot on the stream where the home run was hit, by Pujols (#3 spot). So the stream was a good 2 or 3 minutes behind real time.

And I know it's not the radio station that's delayed, because I was listening to the game in my car on the radio and while sitting at a stoplight directly in front of Busch, the plays called on the radio matched up with the cheers I heard from the crowd

It is probably a encoding delay.

I don't remember that in 2009, and in fact, I just checked it, comparing to the TV, and on both my iPad and Nexus One, the app was behind TV by a good few minutes. The N1 was about a second behind the iPad which is no big deal and probably due to that being on 3G vs the iPad on WiFi.

Target Field looks pretty sweet.

I agree. Out of the newest stadiums, Target Field is pretty original in design. Where others are rather generic.

IMHO, best modern stadiums in order:

1. NYS. It had big shoes to fill replacing OYS. While I think it has failed to properly pay respect to OYS, ignoring the shoes it had to fill the design is really nicely done. The exterior is the best of any stadium today. The interior is nicely setup with the wrap around lights and the frieze wrapping the stadium.

2. Target Field. In the world of modern stadiums generally looking similar, Target Field is largely unique with the wrap around lights integrated into the roof and the neat bleacher setup in right center.

3. Camden Yards. This stadium set the standard for modern stadiums. Integrating the warehouse was a brilliant idea. Plus, it doesn't have the ugly split upper deck.

think that since it looks like Carl will play another great year as a twin maybe he should Repay some of that 48 mill he robed from us Big wuss...:D

Yea it does! I can't wait to catch a game there. FYI the whole park was built on only 6 acres.
I am amazed by that, looking at the construction photos I didn't think they would be able to fit a stadium on that lot.

Does anybody have MLB at bat for iPad? yet.......seems cool haha

oh and i'm following both socal teams

dodgers(2-4) and angels(2-5) are in the same positions.

Still have faith in godzilla.:D

So the app provides free games? to view? or does it provide highlights from every game? Looks interesting, but i haven't bought it for the iPhone, (that's why i'm asking questions) but I'm getting an iPad soon and the app looks cool.:D

MLB chooses one free game per day that you can watch as long as you're not in the area of either team. For every game, there are highlights and then a condensed game which is every at bat in about 10 minutes.

Correct. Unless your team offers in market streaming, which I believe the Yanks are the only ones with that

The Champs are off to a great start so far this is there best April start i can rember in a while Yanks have taken 2/3 from the Soxs Rays Angels and win a short game against the Rangers tonight I think barring any key injury's the Yanks will run away with the division early this year.

Don't jinx us yet. But, I do agree. While the usual players are having a slow start( Tex, A-Rod), as a team this is the best beginning to the season that I can remember.

Man accused of vomiting on girl at game

Nice to see class out of Philly fans.:p:rolleyes:
PHILADELPHIA -- A New Jersey man is facing charges after police say he intentionally vomited on an 11-year-old girl and her father in the stands during a Philadelphia Phillies game.

Matthew Clemmens, 21, of Cherry Hill, N.J., was charged with assault, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and related offenses for the incident at Wednesday night's Phillies-Nationals game. He was being held Friday on $36,000 bail.

Police say Clemmens made himself vomit on an off-duty police captain and one of his daughters after Clemmens' companion was kicked out of Citizens Bank Park for unruly behavior, which included cursing, spitting and spilling beer by Clemmens and a friend.

According to an account in the Philadelphia Daily News, Clemmens and his friend were asked by the 15-year-old daughter of Michael Vangelo, an off-duty Easton police captain, to stop cursing and spitting. A short while later, Vangelo said, it started again.

"One guy started spitting ... first it landed on the back of my daughter's chair. Then it landed on her hooded sweatshirt," Vangelo said, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

After Vangelo reported the incident to stadium officials, Clemmens' friend was led out of the stadium. At that point, Vangelo said Clemmens said he would be sick and "put two fingers down his throat."

He then "leaned forward and started vomiting on us," Vangelo said, according to the Daily News.

"It was the most vile, disgusting thing I've ever seen. He has two fingers down his throat, he lunges forward and vomits on myself and my 11-year-old."

Vangelo said he tried to push his children safely behind him, and Clemmens punched him in the face. Four or five fans in the next section rushed to help, Vangelo said. They held him until police arrived -- someone punching Clemmens in the face as he tried to break free -- and an officer was also hit with vomit, Vanore said.

"It reminds you of the type of behavior you used to hear about at the 700 level in Veterans Stadium," Philadelphia police spokesman Lt. Frank Vanore said, according to the Daily News.

Vangelo told the Daily News he didn't hit Clemmens because "I kept thinking, 'If I get arrested, my kids will be alone here.' "
