I started with a template, but have been slowly working my way toward a more custom look for my photography site.

Let me know what you think!

Josh, looks pretty good. Only thing is that the photos seems to take a long time to load. By the way, I like the functionality of the shopping cart. Have you had any issues with it?

Thank you. I agree that the pictures are slow to load, but I don't think there is much I can do about it until iWeb '09 is released. Once that happens I am going to experiment with having the site hosted somewhere other than MobileMe. The only downside is that (assuming I understand correctly), I will lose the ability to password-protect pages. This is a bit of a problem since it is a feature that I use.

Thanks for taking the time to give some feedback,

Josh

Hey Josh, just a tip - your pics do take a long time to load - you could stick them in photoshop and rip the dpi down to 72 - it will still display really nicely, and the load time will be hugely increased.

Dom:

That is a beautiful website. What did you use to make the background? One thing I have noticed about the Mac is that it doesn't come with any time of drawing program. I would like to start tinkering with making my own graphics for the site, but I need something that is easier enough for a beginner to use, yet powerful enough to get nice results. Thanks for taking the time to check out my site.

Hey, just got Iweb 09' 3 days ago, and it looks very interesting so I decided to try the 60 days trial from MobileMe. And now my website is 80% done, I need suggestion for my website. Here's the link: www.Jack-Boss.com

I just upgraded to iWeb '09 and also moved my site off of MobileMe and on to what I hope is a much faster server. If anyone has a moment, please let me know if my albums and photos load fast enough not to be annoying!

Thanks,

Josh

BTW: If anyone is interested in comparing hosting speeds between MobileMe and GoDaddy, I have an identical copy of my site hosted at MobilMe at www.joshfenton.net

Thanks,

Josh

I have made my website no less than 4 times. Each time I make it I find that is just isn't quite what I wanted. I think I may have finally gotten it almost the way I want it. It is not perfect by any means. It loads kinda slow sometimes, my rollover buttons are sluggish to respond at first, it doesn't work all that great on internet explorer, etc. So check it out and let me know what you think.

I would love to have some feedback on our site. I have been working on it for a few months.

www.organicfunny.com

let me know.

I have let iweb behind. Our traffic was being affected. iweb made the site slow and folks on firefox couldn't view our slide shows. I still love iweb and think that the program allows users to do a ton without much web design knowledge... but it still has many shortcomings.

Boynsdesign

Hey, I'm a graphics designer!
I posted on here a wee while ago with my old site.
Since then I have redone my site, feedback would be greatly appreciated!
I have tried to make it as less iweby as possible! :)

I'm an independent documentary film producer, and I've long-appreciated the potential of iWeb, especially now that it accepts HTML snippets and will upload directly to an FTP server. The only problem I now have is slow loading times, which I'm hoping they'll address before the next version. Maybe even in a software update. Nevertheless, here's a sample of what I've done.

I'll throw mine in the ring, if not just for the page hits!

A simple election campaign website

I was asked by a couple of friends to quickly put together a simple election campaign website, and was pleased with my first-time use of iWeb '08 (which has resided on my MacBook Pro unused since I purchased the laptop six months ago) and in no time at all put together the following:

Would you be so kind as to tell me what you used as your flash intro? And how it was embedded into iweb.

Thank you in advanced :)

New to iWeb but trying a lot of new things.

http://www.iwebbasics.com

Looks like iWeb, but that's okay for now. Hosted site with comments, polls, guestbook, products page. I am trying to explore all the possibilities of iWeb. I am not a programmer so everything I have done is completely iWeb and HTML snippets. Just starting site out, plan to add a lot more.

I appreciate any feedback.

problems with my site

Hello all,
I am new to this forum. I created a website with iWeb and it looks fine using Safari, but when I use IE or Firefox or any other browser, there are little boxes that appear around any text box that I have made a link.

The site is www.girlslikemath.com.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so could you tell me what I have done wrong.

Thanx

Nice! How did you get it so wide?

I like it, but it's too wide for my browser. I use a browser window that is 1042 pixels wide including the scroll bar.

Nice work, Dynamografika! How did you get the design to extend beyond the narrow editable field iWeb gives you?

Well, here's my submission. I actually teach my students how not to make sites that look like iWeb.
