5 mins ago :( Really sucks mate, only hope is UKMail's business post tracking still saying 16th, however the UKMail website says delayed until 19th so maybe that's where Apple is picking up their info from?

awaiting my first ever Ipad. ive been excited for weeks and i keep looking out the window like a looney!
it probably would have been quicker to go to the apple store this morning!!

being delivered by Syncreon.. says at Bath depot at 7.15 am this morning so where is it??? im only 3 miles outside Bath!!:mad:
 
Mine was delivered by TNT at about 10.30 this morning. Yay!

My Kensington Protective Cover & Stand case does not fit. Boo :( That was my favourite case. But my Targus Click-In Case does fit. Yay!

Photos do not do the screen justice. The new iPad doesn't feel heavier, in fact until you turn it on you would mistake one for the other.
 
It was pure chance that I went online @ John Lewis last night/early morning around 2am! to check what the purchasing status was for the new iPad, since they said they were getting them in for the 16th. I always said if i got one I would buy it from John Lewis since they offer 2yrs free guarantee;)

To my surprise they were showing 'more than 10 in stock' I thought cool, I'll sleep on it, since I weren't THAT desperate for an iPad....but then I started umming and ahhring whether to wait until the weekend or pull the trigger..Lucky I did the latter, woke up this morning and out of curiosity I checked online at around 8:30am....and what do I see....OUT OF STOCK, every single new model..gone:eek:

anyway I can go collect mine on Saturday after 2pm, this will be my first iPad:D
 
Spoke to UK Mail guy on the phone who said he wasn't really allowed to give any hints on timing but he thought I'd be safe nipping out for 10 minutes as it was highly unlikely mine would arrive before this afternoon. So grabbed my coat and went down to the car. Forgot my keys so had to go back inside. When I returned, the damn car was blocked in the drive way - by a UK Mail delivery van! Phew! Am I glad I forgot those keys! I'd have missed it otherwise... :)

The closer you live to a depot, the worse it is. That's my theory anyway. if you are close, you will get the delivery either early in the day when the van is heading out, or late in the day when it's nearly back. In this area all the couriers seem to do the closest addresses last. Mine left a depot less than a mile from me at 7:10 this morning and since it didn't come early, I know it won't turn up until late this afternoon now. At least if you live a long way from the depot, it could come at any time during the day.
 
64Gb white WiFi delivered by TNT 15 mins ago. Restoring from iCloud now. Screen is gorgeous.

Was going mad at home waiting, constantly checking the letterbox for the We Missed You card even though I've barely moved from the hall all morning ;)

Happy days!
 
Those with apparently delayed deliveries probably needn't worry. Apple's site shows my Estimated Delivery as being Tuesday 20th, yet the UPS tracking for it shows it is actually Out for Delivery, expected today (having left Tamworth at 07:18).

oh damn it! ive got so much to do today so i guess im just gonna have to stop looking out the window and get on with some stuff.. i thought maybe it would be here by lunchtime ...:(

I've got UKMail's website showing that's it is at the depot but hasn't moved, but Apple's own shipment tracking reckons it's out for delivery.

I know which one I'd rather believe :)
 
This just isn't fair

Unmarked delivery van just turned up, pulled up outside....went to next door!!!

Out of interest, anyone getting UKMail delivery, was the van marked?
