Delivered!

Received mine from TNT about an hour ago! :D

Very happy with it so far, just loading on all my apps.

The screen clarity is amazing - I wasn't expecting it to be as sharp as it is - even under close inspection, I cannot distinguish between pixels.

Did anyone get their iPads in London delivered by TNT???

Not yet, still waiting for it the leave the depot, or at least thats what it says on my tracker.

Mine still hasn't left Newcastle depot

Just visited Comet store in Cheltenham, UK.

I asked about stock availability and they advised me they had plenty.

When I went to purchase one they advised me that the cost was £449 for a iPad 16GB wifi (£50 over retail)

When I asked why - they said you HAVE to purchase the essentials pack. (cover and screen wipes)

If I didn't want to purchase both items then I couldn't purchase the iPad ?

The manager advised me this was a "Comet thing" and the same in every store - is this true? Has anyone had the same experience in a Comet store this morning?

Not sure if you're being sarcastic, I was only saying :). I'd never even heard of them prior to this week.

I always thought they were part of Royal mail. Don't every thing I have seen thier vans etc... mind you in london I never drive on the roads.

Seems TNT have decided my iPad hasn't quite travelled enough miles yet so appear to be driving it around. Just deliver it already!

What I would assume, in relation to battery, is they all were fully charged, but after sitting waiting for launch they have drained slightly as batteries naturally do. Be interesting(ish) to see if lower percents were built earlier.

It's moving ^^ UKMail from Docklands Depot

Mine just left Durham depot 15 mins ago :(

At the very least that would mean its 2hours+ away.

Gonna be a long wait.

Thats what mine was saying on the Iphone App , sitting in Newcastle all morning. Just checked online and it does not even mention Newcastle, says it was at Durham Depot which is closer to me so better..

And now it "finally" got loaded on to a van at 10am, bit late on to be leaving like..

I'd call Apple to enquire about this to report them. They can't do that, I remember a rogue Best Buy in the States doing it with iPhone 4S' saying you HAD to purchase insurance to get the iPhone.

No wonder they had a load of stock!!

- Saying that, you could always buy it all, then take the essentials pack back. They HAVE to accept returns if their policy says so! :D

For anyone still looking for an iPad today, if you live near Glasgow, the Apple Store at Braehead has big supplies of all models still in stock right now (and there's no queues)!

For people who are tracking their iPad on the UKmail site trying putting your consignment number into the following page. The UKmail site says my iPad is still in the delivery office but this page tells me it is out for delivery!

http://www.business-post.com/scripts/wsisa.dll/ws_quickpod.html

I've been checking both places all morning. Neither giving me more information than the other. Still says delivery date is 16th though...

I bought a £25 one on Ebay for £18.99, it sent me the code the second my payment went through, must be automatic. 3000 feedback so reliable.

Very impressed and it will be where I get all my itunes credit from now on.
