ok i'll answer my own question. Yes! I have. A man, no truck, came walking down the street with a trolley, gave me my ipad, and walked back up the street around the corner and out of sight.
Oh the agony!
Mine is "out for delivery", phoned TNT and the guy, wearily, assured me it would be delivered today.
All fine EXCEPT, a mate of mine who lives about a mile from me, had his delivered over two hours ago! This is Cornwall, how long does it take to drive around a little town? Where's he gone?
Anytime today would be good but the suspense is starting to distract me from working ;-)

Out of interest, what times did people who haven't had them delivered yet order their iPad? I ordered at about 12.30am (as soon as the store actually worked) and haven't got it, but my colleague next to me ordered at 8am, and had his delivered a few hours ago by UPS (I'm with TNT). Just trying to figure out if they're having a douchebag game with us all!

I ordered at 23:57 on the night of the keynote. My iPad is with UK Mail and haven't arrived in W1 London yet! The waiting is killing me.

even though i bought my ipad on 8th March i ended up with a 30th March delievry Date. (32gb)
yesterday that changed to 10th April
Today, i went online to tesco.com and bought a 64GB one, which with free delivery will be with me tomorrow. I had a £15 off tesco voucher sent to me yesterday and also get 4% off with an employee discount scheme.
This is my first Ipad and cant wait, but wont ever pre-order from Apple again. How it can take them a month to get something pre-ordered through their own website, yet an independant retailer can get it to me the day after launch shows they dont have a grip on whats important to customers.
Jelous of all you guys with boxes already - I will be pacing the livingrom all day tomorrow aiting on it coming now!

Mine has left Milan, bound for Switzerland. UPS still shows a delivery date of March 16 - doesn't seem very realistic, though!

Huh - lucky you. Been out for delivery with UPS since 06:15 and nothing so far. Central Scotland. Once before it turned up at 20:00. I think UPS use part time agents. So it's probably lying somewhere until later today. Sigh. I queued for iPad 2. Much more fun.
I think that's whats happened to me. We've got a McDonalds right over the other side of town. Between 12:00 and 2:00 every single day of the week, there are 5 tnt vans parked up outside.
Stop scoffing and deliver my iPad...and a McFlurry please!
Northern Ireland no go
Well, despite getting a call from Apple mid-week to tell me that my iPad that was initially going to be delivered on the 16th, then delayed until the 20th, was going to be delivered on the 16th after all, it's still with TNT at Northampton! Not much use as I'm in Northern Ireland. So I went to my local Curry's and bought one. Monday is a Bank Holiday in NI and I'm away on Tuesday so would not have got the Apple-sent iPad until next Wednesday. I have to say I'm not happy as the iPad was initially at Nuneaton and rather than going to East Midlands Airport to fly to Belfast ended up in Northampton. Even then it was only 22.00 so not too late to fly over.

Okay, so it left Croydon at 7am. Can't bloody take this long for something to reach here from there.
People should stop ringing up the delivery companies. If it's out for delivery, its out for delivery.

UPDATE UPDATE ....... rang UK mail local depot and im told it will be with me about 2.30 pm!!!! I hope to God its worth the wait!
