iPad is in MIDDLETOWN, PA shipping via FedEx (on its way to NYC).

SO PSYCHED!!

Looking like Friday delivery at work is actually possible.

YAY!

Ordered 4:36PM CST day of prerelease, my (2) AT&T 64GB White, and (1) AppleCare+ are now preparing for shipment, they were processing all weekend.

Trying to sell the second on eBay, but may let my spouse have it if it does not sell. Eager for the 16th to arrive.

im glad im not the only one who got theirs sent to work! :p

im just worried they will come before i get there, and i cant exactly print the presign letter and stick it on the front door of the office.. haha i called two local fedexs and they both claim that since it is that building, someone from that building has to sign. not exclusive to me. hmmm

Has anyone's ipad moved any yet? Mine was picked up In Nashville, but hasn't done anything since.

i think its just going to sit there until the day before or so. Be lucky your tracking is working! mines almost two days and still no tracking :/ what model did you order?

white 16 gb ATT 4g

I ordered a 64 Gig White AT&T unit with 4G at 4:45 PM on the seventh. I just got up graded to "Preparing for Shipment" when I got home. It surprised me a bit as I did not expect that until at least Wednesday.

For those who may be wondering, yes Apple has been stockpiling units at various locations in the U.S. and most likely around the world since late in December. One clue was that the Air Frieght charges on flights out of Hong Kong have gone up as a major shipper (read Apple) in that area has been using up all available space since that time.

One problem with being an early adopter is that when you preorder like we have you sometimes get very early models that may left the factory before all the small bugs were worked out of the system. AKA units sitting in warehouses in the US when units manufactured later may have had bugs and problems discovered and worked out.

That is why Apple Stores have extra units for replacements.

white 16 gb ATT 4g

I got black 64 GB ATT
I'll believe this 4G LTE stuff when I see it. :-|

This DEFINITELY worries me.

Preordered a 64gig wifi an hr after the conference and finally got a tracking # yesterday afternoon. I live in brick Nj and it shipped out of middletown PA. Incase people are impatient you can try tracking by reference # with the phone # you used on the order. Not sure why but that is my reference number, not the apple order#

My iPad 3 was made less than a month ago.

You can check by the serial number--5th digit is the week of the year.

I will probably get flamed again, but my extended family and I ordered different ipad models at the same time. There is no rhyme or reason to who's got shipped when. It's pretty much a crap shoot, however if you ordered the 7th and your order said the 16th, your golden.

Have faith. My tracking just started working a few minutes ago and it's sitting in Nashville. I ordered a black 64g ATT 4g. If past experience is any indicator, it will not move again until at least Wed or Thur and then get delivered in Dallas the next day. With any luck that delivery is a day early on Thurs. That's what happened with my iPad 2 and iPhone 4. They both arrived a day early. I suspect FedEx wants to clear the pipe a little early as it has to be a strain to deliver them all on one day. Although the 4s came on the Day. I was actually a little disappointed.

I am in Virginia and ordered my 16gb black Verizon at 7:00pm on march 7th and it still says prepairing for shipping. Should I be worried that I will get it later then the promised delivery guarantee of march 16th

"My" (ordered for someone else) 2nd iPad (16GB ATT) has now shipped. Ordered this one around 6pm EST on the 7th. My 64GB ATT shipped yesterday. Ordered that one around 4pm EST on the 7th. It's the final countdown...

An 8....so that means last week of February huh? Sweet. :D:D:cool:

FINALLY got my iPad to ship. I have the 64GB VZW White going to the Philly area. It's sitting in Middletown, PA right now. It seemed like the VZW ones were later to ship, but it's all good.

Can't wait till Friday. Hopefully everyone's iPads move into that category soon!

Where do you live? Wondering why it takes a full 7 days to get to you after shipping. Mine is like yours but without the delivery by date. I live near the west coast so I expect delivery somewhere near March 22-23rd dates.
But I am guessing. provided that Apple does not put a delay on those orders like Apple did in the past for past products.

Mine is in Louisville, KY waiting for the Friday delivery.

Oddly, my ATV3 is not showing tracking info, just that it will be here on the 16th also, via next day shipping. I suppose the ATV3 is sitting in a warehouse down in Cupertino. Maybe I should just drive down at lunchtime and save the shipping cost. :D

If this is true, then there is some fast turn around time going on. My 32GB white Verizon was one that was pre-shipped and is sitting in Nashville waiting but my 5th digit is 9.
