Well, I have a black AT&T 4G on order and I have been in processing since thursday.
dont worry, mine was ordered on the 7th at 2 or 3 pm. didnt change from processing untill the 10th at about 11 pm. As long as it says Delivers on March 16 via Standard Shipping your goooood

i read that some ipads are alreay here in the us, (before pre orders) so maybe if the ipad you purchased was already here and shipping from a near by location. it seems most people who got shipping quick and tracking updates were comming from china or over seas... idk im retarded. just rambling

Seriously, because it has likely been released (at least on paper) to the shipper for setting up the shipping.
I've followed your posts for a while ... congrats. I bet you change to "shipped" pretty quickly. I have a similar model except in black, and it took about 90 minutes for me to move from "Preparing" to "Shipped."

...or maybe I'm really bad at sarcasm.No, I think you're right. One of the many times I was in contact with Apple, they said mine was coming from California, not China, though she did say it could be coming from China to California to me.
Mine shipped on March 9th and has been sitting in Nashville ever since. I ordered a 32GB WiFi only black "new" iPad immediately after the Apple Store came online. I also ordered a smart cover and Apple TV 3. The smart cover is supposed to arrive on Wednesday, the iPad on Friday, but the Apple TV 3 is still in the "processing" status. I wonder why. Although it says arrives on March 16th.

Mine worked immediately. I got my shipping notice this morning and the FedEx tracking worked right away.

Exact same thing just happened with my iPad too, and what do you know? I have the exact same kind of model! I think our iPad's have been stateside the entire time, thus no need to rush and ship them. I kind of always figured this, but I'm really just glad to finally see some progress on my order.

Exact same model...Got my shipping notice yesterday and it is hanging out in Nashville, TN right now.
Delayed ordering my dad's till Thursday and by that time it switched to shipping March 19th (ugh). His iPad 64GB Black Wifi is in "Processing."
No. UPS here as well. Ordered around 7pm on the 7th. Ordered a "new" iPad for me and a new ipad2 for my wife. Both engraved. Both shipped from china via UPS. Hers in in anchorage mine in still in chengdu. Not too worried though, I'm sure UPS will deliver on the 16th. I'm on the end of my guys typical route though and it's frequently after 5pm when he arrives. It'll be a long day.
