Good to know they're starting to move em to the local hubs in each city. You're the first person I've heard of that has theirs "in transit", since the initial drop offs at the big regional hubs.

Us Pacific Northwesters should start to see the ones in Ontario, CA start to come North for a Friday delivery :)
 
I think Apple got sick of my calling them over the last 5 days. I received an email from a management rep who referenced my order number and to let him know if I have any questions. I replied and he verified what another person told me - that my status is still in Prepare for Shipping because mine is a state away and it will go out tomorrow. I still hope it gets delivered at around the same time my smart cover did - around 10am.

Just checkied mine for Minnesota and it still says 3pm.

I guess the good news here is that Fedex is prepared to deliver well into the evening.
 
I had to order mine yesterday because I got paid and now it's its says its gonna be shipped April 1 and I'll get it the 9:(.I envy all of you that get it friday!

Sunday through today the status on the Apple site showed standard shipping. But now it reads "overnight"

So, though I can't see where it is I'm less inclined to believe it is lost. Likely they are just holding for the overnight delivery. Of course I won't be totally convinced until I have the baby in my hands:cool:

me too man, i feel your pain! but i got apple to do a shipping inquiry and they are sending me a replacement ipad incase my original doesnt get in the 16th.

I Pre-ordered late too...My iPad will ship on April 2 and will be here April 6...maybe we will get lucky and get them early :D

I don't buy the by 3pm crap, but one can hope. My 4s was delivered at 7:30 pm. UPS was really late that day. But, FedEx usually seems to hit my neighborhood before UPS. Wonder who will get theirs first. I'm on the NE side of Ann Arbor....

I ordered mine on the 8th and I felt like the person on the phone didn't care to take my information correctly. So I called back on the 9th...she had taken half the wrong info down. So we corrected it all...apple representative threw in the hippih keyboard ( can't get it to pair with my iPhone 4g!!) and some headphones ( standard ones)

Its been sitting in Kentucky since the 12th...But I live in FLORIDA!!!
Come on people can it least be in florida and be held till friday to put it on a truck and bring it to me!

I ordered the 32GB wifi+4g with engraving:D
I already have a really cute purse waiting for it to be carried around and a cute case...I just need a screen protector

Does anyone know how fed ex works with delivering to an apartment ? I live in NYC in an non doorman apartment and I'm getting paranoid they won't buzz me to sign for it. I'm thinking of putting a sign on the front door.
 
maybe i should keep on calling. i get the same response that they are committed to ship on the 16th.
 
Left Harrisburg at 8! Headed to the Fed Ex facility in raleigh now with pizza and beer in an attempt to beg for my iPad.

I live in NYC, with fedex/ups .. They will buzz your door and come up stairs. Just keep tracking throughout the day. In a rare occasion they do sometimes just say left a notice for a missed delivery and usually there wont be a notice down stairs. At that point, if you waited all day, you call ups/fedex. Complain.. They will contact dispatch, dispatch will contact the driver and find out what happened and make him redeliver.

But don't worry. My friend works for fedex and he said they were told that Friday they are going to have a lot of high priority packages that must be delivered.. No if and's or but's. They were talking about the ipad.

Also if you want, just grab a chair put it in your lobby, and just wait for the fedex guy.

I see multiple scans the past few days all in Ontario. I guess mine is getting sorted onto to the right pallet for my zip.

None of the multi scans show on FedEx's regular on line tracker, not surprised as in my experience the Business tools tracking site has always had more details.
