Does your business get regular FedEx shipments? What time do they usually show up? Odds are, if you do get regular shipments, the iPad will be on it. The business I work for gets two FedEx shipments a day: one at 10am, and one at 3:45pm. Wish I'd of thought of having mine shipped there instead of my house.

Worst case scenerio, you have to park outside of the place for a few hours. Still beats the heck out of waiting in line, with a chance of not getting one at all. I doubt it'll come to you waiting though.

Oh yea, we get FedEx and UPS shipments almost daily. Usually FedEx by 10AM, UPS by 2PM.
 
Calledthe FedEx place where my iPad is and she said apple is not allowing us to release them until Thursday night and that is to ship them to your nearest sort factory. I was gonna drive to pick mine up btw white AT&T 32gb

Nice, they must be opting for trucking them out. Guessing the rest of us may be seeing our shipment statuses change soon.

Same... Though I asked the UPS driver if he could deliver early and he said it shouldn't be an issue. He is usually at a store down the street first thing anyway... There routes are CRAZY.

Im starting to get excited. I am wondering if I will see movement tonight or if I will have to wait till Thursday night or Friday morning to track some progress.

.. and now the pending authorization on my CC that had appeared on 3/7 and disappeared on Monday is finally a permanent charge. I now own the iPad (well, almost :) )

Thats about right! It is about 8.5 hours by truck (not counting stops/traffic) from Harrisburg to Ann Arbor. That would put it in at the local facility by early AM tomorrow, then plenty of time for them to sort onto their delivery vehicle for your location. :D Hoping that more of these start popping up soon!:)
 
Mine is still sitting in Middletown, PA. I'll have it in less than 48 hours. I'm going to spend Friday at work getting hopped up on caffeine, and the drive home seeing how fast I can get my car up to. I may set a record for quickest drive home.
 
Mine is actually rolling now. After sitting in Middletown, PA, it has now left Harrisburg. So now at least it's moving. Set for Friday delivery here in NC.
 
I changed mine to hold for pick up at FedEx as I have an interview and don't want to risk missing delivery. I probably can get it quicker that way.

Still decided on upgrading to a 32GB from a 16GB...

Yep, mine too! It departed from Harrisburg around 1820 or 6:20 pm for the civvies! I am very happy to say the least. I am located West of Cleveland by the way!
 
Well, just noticed that my Apple online status changed from "standard shipping" to Overnight.

To recap: Received "shipped status" from Apple on sunday afternoon the 11th. Have not been able to track the package - I keep getting the message "item not found". Called again today and Apple insisted they are committed to delivery on the 16th. They threw in a goodie accessory for "my trouble". But they didn't know exactly why I couldn't track my package. Sunday through today the status on the Apple site showed standard shipping. But now it reads "overnight"

So, though I can't see where it is I'm less inclined to believe it is lost. Likely they are just holding for the overnight delivery. Of course I won't be totally convinced until I have the baby in my hands:cool:

I'd laugh if you ended up getting two of them. Of course, Apple would know, as a signature is required.
