DELIVERED!!!!!!!!!!! I literally bounced down the stairs when the door bell rang. FedEx guy told me many people actually were not home today to receive their iPads from his run.
Now to open and set it up.

I know - but the USPS and FedEx Trucks are almost identical here. Unfortunately it was USPS...
There was a flight delay so I couldn't leave at 10:30am. I'm going to have to pre-sign myself as well if FedEx does not arrive within 1 hour and they'd better not miss that paper!

i would have been working from home today but we've got some team lunch or whatever at noon, after that.....to the house, which works out because fedex usually comes to the house between 1 and 2pm
Mine has arrived at work but I had a scare when I saw the state of the box! It's got a circular hole punched in it, about 1.5 inches diameter. Fortunately our receptionist is on the ball and gave the FedEx man grief about it and made a note on the signature records.
The iPad box itself also has a dent, but it is on the reverse side, the iPad itself looks ok. Am at work so can't play with it till later.

I used the yahoo tracker and it says an attempt was made at 5:00 this morning which is wrong as I was here and had the FedEx note on the door

UPS wouldn't leave in mailroom
I was out of my cube when the UPS man made it to my offices (large campus) and would not leave the package with the mail room. The mailroom called me, but I wasn't there.
Absolutely no service or assistance from UPS 800 number. Refused to connect me with the local dispatcher. Telling me that the 800 number takes the calls for them.
Good news is that my guys in the mailroom are trying to reach out with the tracking number and get me some help to get my iPad!! They called UPS and gave them a hard time, saying that I'd checked for business delivery with the order, so they should have left it.
I'm sure it will get sorted.

Hey thanks for the reply. I stopped by the apple and best buy stores today and they had plenty in stock. To bad we didn't know FedEx would do this and we could be using them right now. I will let u know

If I have to stay at work till 8pm I might as well have lined up at a store. Hopefully they will be on business time as usual.
On truck for delivery! Strange that it was at 6:40, but I just saw it on Yahoo's tracker just now, almost an hour and a half later. I SO hope they come at the same time, or earlier, than they did yesterday when they delivered my Smart Cover! *praying*
Mines said the same at 9:25am. When I checked FedEx.com, it turned out it wasn't an attempt at that time, but a Delivery Exception scan which changed my estimated delivery time from 10:30am to 4:30pm. Double check with FedEx or their website. I've never heard of a 5am delivery anyway.
Nope. UPS delivered it this morning. It's in my office mail room now.
but i specified a business delivery so they could not do it after hours.
