AHHHHHH I was trying so many times... and now the store is down completely online and in the app!?!!?
 
That was the worst online pre-order experience of my life.

Apple can and needs to do better than that. They need to create 'Stream-lined' order system for big releases like this. Where the entire online-store is shut down and when you click store you only see a page to order just the new product and it's very minimalistic and straight forward.

Many other companies have initiated this process when they expect high traffic volumes for online orders of a big product.

Been at least 15 min and no confirmation email..however, the funds are pending on my Discover card..I'll take that as a good sign...right? lol
 
got http unavailable right after hitting "process order" so now no idea if order went through.

If this were AT&T fanboys would be slaying the company. But Apple gets a pass for having lousy order architecture and bandwidth

Man.. I think I'm already regretting getting white. I had white last year and liked it but I think I wanted black more.

I got nervous and just picked one lmao.

Same boat. Had white last year and was thinking of getting black but just went for white kind of instinctively.

I'm slightly anxious but I don't think we'll be disappointed! :p
The white is just so much more, lively (imo) than the black.
 
Feels like it taking forever to get my email. It's making me a little nurvous.

I'm getting up to the 10 minute mark... we will see. I got all my bank text alerts saying the money was deducted... blah blah... email should be here soon i hope!

Well that took forever and I had to use my debit card as I could not get the financing Bill me later to even come up but ill try again later as least I got one. :apple::)
 
I was surprised but it was only 10 minutes from order until I received my thank you email!!

White 64GB AT&T with Apple+Care ordered!! And they are calling it 3rd generation on the order status in case anyone is still wondering how they are specifying them on orders.
 
I wonder why Apple is not using their GIGANTIC North Carolina data center/server array system for all of this. I am sure the thousands of rack mounts on the optical carrier lines could help speed this up a bit.

Apple is more concerned with iCloud and iTunes at the moment. They don't even run their web servers or their online store off those computers.

I can't even get the store page to load right now.
 
On the website, I can get to select the color and model, but my cart doesn't have anything in it. I don't see any other buttons that need to be clicked.
 
Placed order for two more through my wife's iTunes account. I have a feeling there is going to be a huge demand/ mark up for these
 
It sucks that I sold my Smart Cover with my iPad 2, since I was convinced there would be new(er) smart covers coming out.

Now I have to go buy another one sigh.
