Finally after trying for 20 minutes got my order in for a iPad 3, Verizon, 16gb. Never even got close to using even that on my 64gb so no need for the extra space.
hmmm i've been trying constantly and get we'll be back soon message, it worked for a short while 3 hours ago then went off through checkout and not been back since. its 22:07 right now in the UK and been refreshing for about 2-3 hours since it last was online.
Finally got through. Ended up using the Dolphin Browswer on my iPhone (still took forever)! Waiting on confirmation email now.
Quick question...if I choose ATT, can I change my mind and use Verizon once the iPad arrives? Thanks! 🙂

Ordered it about and hour and a half ago for in store pickup. Right after, the store went out again. I wonder why the in store pickup isn't working anymore 😕
Finally got mine through after 3 hours of trying. Black 16G Wi-Fi. Now the pain of waiting on the UPS/FedEx guy.
No, you can't switch an AT&T iPad to Verizon
Although they both AT&T and Verizon say LTE, their underlying infrastructures are different so you can only use the iPad on the carrier it's matched with. That's why they sell two different models!

Confirmed - ordered via University Apple Store
For some reason, I had a better chance ordering and getting through using my old alma mater's Apple Store link. Go figure. Someone mentioned it in this thread, I got tired trying to get through and decided to give that a try. Guess it worked well!
Just waiting for the email confirmation, but got the confirmation numbers.

I also placed it through my university's apple store, went much smoother over there. 32GB white wifi with Applecare+ for me though.
Finally.. Black 64 Wifi
ordered.. cc charged (pending authorization for 753 ish).. on mbp (online store didn't work out.. at the end it had like 15 iPads in my cart, only 2 allowed, and updating cart always failed )

I don't think store pick up is available for the ipad. I was trying to do the same, picking up in Delaware to avoid sales tax. But I ended up ordering from my PC (as opposed to the app) and it stated that it was not eligible for instore pickup so I am just getting it delivered.
I am in.... Tried for 45 on iPad could not get in. Switched to desktop using Firefox in the first time????? Anyway 64g black AT&T, I am 🙂

Woot, got my preorder in VERY easily, due March 16th for a 64GB ATT 4g. I sat in line last year like a dufus and went away empty handed and it took me nearly 2 months to get one, so no dufus this year I'll just open my door and thank the UPS guy.
Although I have a feeling they might not sell out this year. It's a pretty mediocre upgrade and there is more competition than last year, it will certainly be interesting.
